Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalms 23:6
But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8
If we simply take these verses and use them as a mathematical formula – then the average sum of days for a 70 year old would be around 25,550 days. If we take those days by the formula of God’s time bending ability living in His time for that span would mean 25,550,000 million years. And that’s just one life time. What would forever look like? How important do each of those days mean in regards to eternity?
Don’t deceive yourself, today is massively important to your life in Jesus. Everyday invested with Him means an eternity. Are you focused on listening to His advice for today? Or are you only thinking about your desires and wants? Is your life SO busy and scheduled that Jesus just doesn’t fit into it… in your mind?
Jesus says to you…
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.” John 14:1-3
Do you believe Him? Do you trust Him?
Then what is the value of this day – in light of eternity? What is its potential? How important can it be? Do you believe He has set some divine appointments for you today? Will you recognize them? Are you ready?
Listen to what Paul said to his disciple Timothy…
I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. 2 Timothy 4:1-5
You are SO loved by Jesus. Are you His ambassador? Are you asking Him for instruction and direction for this day? Is the Holy Spirit nudging you in His direction? Are you at peace with Him?
PRAYER:
Jesus, I give everyone and everything to You today. Holy Spirit bring me into alignment with Jesus now. Guide me today. Teach me today. I love you Jesus.

The hour is nigh! Thank you so much for this. I would say over the past few weeks, this has been what wakes me up every morning. Knowing that He is God of My Time, and as far as He’s concerned, it’s limitless to do His works and Will. I cannot fear death anymore, for even in death, I become more like Christ, with life truly unending, to continue to do His works in Heaven.
Good prayer
What is the potential for this day? Good question to start the day
I like asking Him for strength and wisdom everyday
Since His mercies are new every morning, everyday is a new days worth of adventure, lessons, people to meet, things to experience so everyday has to be treated like a fresh start
I love my check in with the Lord as I sit before I jump in the pool.
I often get very interesting revelation or insight
