Is Jesus enough for you?

The righteous has enough to satisfy his appetite, but the belly of the wicked suffers want. Proverbs 13:25

Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist. Proverbs 23:4

As for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with Your likeness. Psalms 17:15

For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10

Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. Philippians 4:11

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

What is a key component of peace and joy? Real contentment. How does one overcome temptation? By knowing without a doubt… you have enough… in Jesus. Has Jesus become your joy and peace? Is He the first thing you think about the moment you open your eyes in the morning? Do you greet Jesus each morning with gladness in your heart? Do you whisper thanks to the Holy Spirit? Do you have a sense of His Presence? Do you recognize His love in the morning?

Do you spend some time in the morning in worship of Him? Just for who He is? Does your heart praise Him for all the blessings He has already given to you? Life? Family? Clothing? Food? Laughter? His salvation? Hugs from those who love you? What exactly are the riches of His kingdom? Has He explained them to you?

“and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain. But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.” 1 Timothy 6:5-8

Is Jesus enough for you?

Would others say of you, “There is a person who is so grateful.”? Does your love for Him spill over into all the parts of your life? Is His love the first thing to flow out of you to others when you see them?

He must increase, but I must decrease. John 3:3

When confronted with these things – this becomes my heart cry!

I am SO short of the fullness of God, and my lack is glaring in my eyes, and my realization that I NEED Jesus more and more grows with each day.

What is your heart attracted to? Where is your first love?

But you walked away from your first love—why? What’s going on with you, anyway? Do you have any idea how far you’ve fallen? Revelation 2:4 MSG

Can you kneel in gratefulness before your King? Is your heart full of His goodness? Can you lift your hands to Him in total surrender? What is your focus?

What really is important in the light and gaze of eternity?

Jesus. Jesus. Jesus.

I love you.

Hallelujah to the Lamb!
