Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
For all the promises of God find their Yes in Him. That is why it is through Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory. 2 Corinthians 1:19-21
But He gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:6-7
“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” Luke 16:10
I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. Philippians 4:12
I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:18-19
The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9
Biblehub: Throughout Scripture צַעַד (his steps) portrays the individual footfall, emphasizing the ordered, visible progress of one’s life-journey before God. Whether in worship, warfare, wisdom, or woe, every occurrence testifies that human movement is never random but subject to the Lord’s oversight.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
Folks – the Lord often reminds me that He is with me. NO matter the circumstances. NO matter the situation. NO matter if my plans have just been smashed. NO matter whether or not I have the resources that are so dire in the moment. Do I trust Jesus? It’s one thing to say it, it is another to act on it, and do it, and have faith in Him – in that VERY tough moment, day, and or situation. Can you calm your panic and your fear and give Him words of praise and gratefulness surrendering yourself once again into His hands and plans in that moment? Can I actually listen to Him in that extremely chaotic time?
The fruit of the Spirit, that was often on display in Jesus’ life in the most chaotic times – was … peace. It obviously is NOT our peace – but His. Can you still praise Him in the midst of unjust abuse or suffering? [Acts 16:16-40]
Our life was never promised to be easy in fact Jesus has said it won’t be. We are on an active battlefield, in the midst of the war, with all sorts of things exploding around us, and entities trying to thwart us, hurt us, or at the very least slow us down. But we who really are His KNOW we will have the victory NO matter what. The very definition of that victory is His and not our own. All we know is that HE is with us now – and at the end of us …we will be with Him. That’s truly victory in the most real sense there is. That’s reality. That’s the REAL ‘hope’ He gives us. That’s not a human hope that’s His promise.
So if you’re still breathing …stand up, take some deep breaths, and praise His name OUTLOUD, and listen to His next instructions, and execute them with all obedience and speed within your ability.
