Are you building your spiritual strength?

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” Luke 21:25-26

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Ephesians 6:10

For I long to see you so that I may share with you some spiritual gift, to strengthen and establish you; that is, that we may be mutually encouraged and comforted by each other’s faith, both yours and mine. Romans 1:11-12

until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity]. So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit]. Ephesians 4:12-14

Are you always increasing your prayer and conversation with God? What about fasting and denying your fleshly desires? Do you have a specific daily time to listen to the Holy Spirit? Are you discussing and asking questions about the deeper spiritual issues with mature saints of God? Are you learning how to ‘endure’ trials without complaining or arguing with God or anyone else. Do you endeavor to search the scriptures daily for Truth through the instruction, discernment, revelation, and guidance from the Holy Spirit? Are you learning how to be comfortable in silence, and working on maintaining His peace in the midst of chaos? Can you recognize His voice over the noise of everything else? Are you learning how to worship God when you soul feels like it is being crushed?

The time is coming when the non-spiritually mature individual will literally be so fearful their hearts will give out, because of the magnitude of the events happening in front of them and around them. Is that not what Jesus said? My ‘encouragement’ to you … is that you make yourself ready for that time. The only ones that will be ready will be the ones who have learned the disciplines the Holy Spirit has taught them. In light of what Jesus said, how important is your relationship with the Holy Spirit? What are you purposely doing …daily… to grow in that relationship? Are you discipling others? Are you having your ‘iron’ sharpened by those the Lord is leading you to be in ‘fellowship’ with? Is the Holy Spirit ‘schooling’ you in the scriptures to rightly discern them for your life?

What is coming will be so shocking and overwhelming to the non-spiritually mature individual that … it will be devastating to their souls and minds. Are you ready for those events? Are you completely secure, with your life ‘built on the Rock’?

What exactly is your ‘calling’ and instructions?

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-19

Father make us ready for what You have planned and set in motion.
