Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. Luke 6:47-48
But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. James 1:25
Stand immovable. Understand His grace and mercy. Listen to His Voice. Follow His instruction. Build on His Rhema Word to you. Act on the Word He gives to your ‘inner being’. Go with the Holy Spirit. Do what He asks you to do. Persevere. Encourage your own soul. Make ‘melody’ in your heart. Praise Him when all circumstances seem dire.
Learn to worship Him in your secret places, where no one sees you. Learn to commune in your inner person with Him when you first rise and just before sleep every day. Be alert all day long aware of His Presence listening for His voice to you. Learn these disciplines. Make your life a habit with Him. Give every day to Him, allow Him to lead. Build your life around Him.
When you pray … listen for His instructions and voice more than your own thoughts and requests. Make your prayer time more about listening to Him than your own ‘one way’ monologue of religious ‘speak’. Pray ‘without ceasing’ … meaning … keep the listening conversation of prayer with the Holy Spirit going throughout your entire day. Think on His fruit and what is needed around you to change the atmosphere. Be His ambassador. Be His thermostat.
Work to be spiritually mature. Work to show yourself approved.
Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. 1 Corinthians 2:6-7
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:9-12
Amen.
