This Late Hour – and the real Ekklesia

Woe to those who call evil good

    and good evil,

who put darkness for light

    and light for darkness,

who put bitter for sweet

    and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them. Romans 1:21-32

One can easily see when the world is turning away from God. When the world no longer has any fear of the consequences of God’s eternal laws or the judgment that comes from ignoring and breaking them. Can you see the demonic and satanic strategy being played out on the world stage? Most of the global corporate elite and many national government leaders have basically given God the middle finger. When violence becomes celebrated and the innocent are brutally murdered – evil greatly shouts for more! 

The remnant of God carries the Light, which needs to now be displayed boldly. The remnant needs to stand up and speak clearly the Truth — and words directly inspired and given by the Holy Spirit. When the enemies of God are blatantly changing the language like in Isaiah 5:20 — lying boldly to promote chaos and evil at every opportunity. When greed and self rule in the highest offices of the land — where treason and corruption are as common place everyday as eating lunch and dinner — the regular citizen is seen as ‘fodder’ for the leaders own selfish desires. When the world goes full long into the murder of the most innocent and celebrates it — God’s judgment is not far behind. God IS emotional — as He gave us emotions as well when creating us in His image. 

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. Galatians 6:7

Often the enemies of God like to portray God as a terrible tyrant — when it is their own consequences they are reaping instead of being at the hands of a ‘mean tyrannical ruler’. God who desires love more than anything else honors His gift of ‘free will’ and the choice of His created to choose who they want to serve, and eventually gives those who choose to reject God’s love over to their own selfish choices and debased minds. How many times have you made the wrong decisions? God gave you ‘free will’ and choice to do exactly that. Yet — most want to blame God when things don’t go the way the selfish expect them to. The selfish want to sit on God’s Throne and command the universe and everyone else to do their bidding. The first century apostles wrote about the consequences of such terrible actions. Yet organized religion has become the biggest distraction to the preeminence of Christ in individual’s lives and hearts. 

Jesus did not come to set up a world ‘religion’ or an organized religious ‘system’. He came to restore our relationship with our ‘Heavenly Father’, by giving us the Holy Spirit who will indwell our being IF we ask Him to. It is Men who set up their own ‘alters’ and religious practices and edifices / buildings all “in His Name”. They in essence usurp the role and authority of the indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit. The biggest hindrance to the remnant of God is the organized institutional ‘Church’ -who throughout the ages has persecuted and martyred those speaking the Truth. The real ekklesia is often ‘called out from among them’ to actually walk with Christ and away from the religious system, into the ‘wilderness’.

If so  — I suggest reading about it. First understand the scriptures — and what the Holy Spirit has to teach you about the wilderness. Then there are many others writing about this experience. You are not alone. To the ‘faithful’ Jesus says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5. I have been reading two authors writing over 90 years apart who are saying basically the same thing about the Organized Church. T.Austin-Sparks and Chip Brogden. Both bear witness to the Spirit’s instructions and words to them. Chip’s book The Church in the Wilderness / What it means to follow Jesus outside of organized religion — is a concise message to those who find themselves being led by the Holy Spirit away from the ‘religious’ life into real relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

I guess I’m writing all of this now as I see the remnant as the ones who are called to be His ambassadors at this ‘late hour’ of chaos and worldly turmoil. Are you just a ‘Church service goer’ or have you went ‘all in’ on following Jesus and desire a life consumed with the Holy Spirit and God’s realm?

What is Jesus and the Holy Spirit asking you to do today?  What is His asking you to pray about? Who are you suppose to talk to today? What are your divine appointments today?

Is Jesus calling you to speak up? Is Jesus calling you to be bold in your commitment and faith to Him? 

What is the real ekklesia / Church / Body of Christ? 

For where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I among them. Matthew 18:20
