Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; Romans 12:10
Have you ever considered the preferences of Jesus? What does He like? What does He enjoy? Have you ever thought about trying to learn to enjoy what He does? Have you ever stopped and considered trying to give joy to Him by giving Him His preferences? This is the next step beyond learning what He expects of you. This is a loving relationship, a real friendship. Has the Holy Spirit ever taught you and explained Jesus to you and what He enjoys? Have you ever asked Him? This isn’t a ‘religious’ act – it’s what you do with your best friends. Do you honor Jesus by asking Him what He would like you to do for Him throughout your day?
No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15
Do you ‘know that you know’ Jesus calls you …His friend? Jesus wants this kind of relationship with you … and it is ONLY possible THROUGH the Holy Spirit within you. How much have you learned to ‘hear’ Him? How much do you recognize His promptings? Just like you know what your ‘best’ friends like. Just like you know how your best friends will answer you. This IS the life of one filled with the Holy Spirit! It is from the moment you open your eyes in the morning and greet Him, till you close them in sleep asking Him for to be with you in your dreams. Is this the relationship you have with Him? Does that make you smile or cringe? It’s very possible to develop this kind of relationship with Him.
Do you surround yourself with things that remind you of Him? Music? Beautiful creations? Things that remind you of what He has said to you? This is SO much more than a ‘Sunday’ morning “service”, it’s a 24/7 life … with Him. Walking and talking ALL day with Him. This is Him …IN you …bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to your realization… everywhere. This relationship is about His Light within you. What divine appointments has He in store for you today? Are you ready? Will you be able to recognize His plan in that moment? Today if you are ready and looking for them – you will recognize His divine appointment(s) for you.
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5
Abide in Jesus today. Spend the entire day talking with the Holy Spirit. Listening for His responses. This IS The Way. This is how the very first followers of Jesus did it after Pentecost. In fact – the first century ‘believers of Jesus’ called it The Way.
Start expecting and looking for His divine appointment(s) today. Be aware. Be focused on Him. Be listening.

Beautiful! Ministering to God in this way is often overlooked. Thank you for writing this!
