And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:9-12
And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. 1 Corinthians 2:13-15
A word of warning. Be careful thinking… because we are so advanced we can dismiss so many things of the past… like ‘signs in the sky’ which we know through scientific knowledge that are regularly recurring events. Those things which were ‘seen’ as miraculous and mysterious are no longer a mystery because we know the science behind the event. Or do we really? I think we know ‘in part’ and forget the omnipotence and omniscience of God. Calvinists take our current knowledge and simplify it to lessor equations and formulas and say there is no free will — that everything is predetermined. I think that God’s equations are much higher than our current understanding and that free will is necessary for agape / love to exist. That there are actually higher dimensions beyond what our current understanding can comprehend or know. Also that the ‘heavenly’ realm exists within those higher dimensions. The older I get the more I know the paradox is true — in that the more I learn the more I know the less I know. As the more spiritual revelation is received the more I realize is there is SO much more to understand. CS Lewis in his last book of the Narnia series explained it to kids as an ever increasing size of room within the last room you were in. Through each door you go — the bigger the space becomes, even though on the outside it looks small.
We think we’re so smart and intelligent because of our ‘advanced’ knowledge, but when going into spiritual realms — we are like infants when it comes to understanding. I’ve seen so many trying to sound the ‘alarm’ through coming celestial events, which MAY very well be ‘signs’ in the heavens for the world to take note of. But to us who are His and awake, and in daily relationship with the Holy Spirit — no events will change how we follow Him, because we already ‘listen’ to Him. Signs are for unbelievers.
“An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign,” Matthew 16:4a
We who are His can see the ‘signs’ and they obviously confirm that which the Holy Spirit has already been telling us about. Signs don’t bring us fear — but actually they bring … joy… to the Spirit-filled believer because we know our reunion with Him draws near.
For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thessalonians 5:7-9
How do the present ‘signs’ make you feel? Anxious? Nervous? Why? Don’t you hear from Him daily? Or has that spiritual discipline been lacking in your life? Now is the time to pick up that discipline and press forward into His instructions and be about that which the Holy Spirit is wanting to challenge and change you. Don’t think you know it all now because of your great ‘education’. For what you do know is minuscule in regards to the higher spiritual dimensions, and our enemy knows FAR more than you in how everything works. Our salvation comes from being IN Him. Our protection comes from the Holy Spirit and the Rhema Word of God (Ephesians 6:17), that which He is directly speaking into our hearts and spirits …daily.
Real honest humility before God (Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit) is what is required of us. This should be a personal daily pursuit of ours in prayer.
The signs will continue to increase just as the contractions in a childbirth. Don’t dismiss the signs .. rejoice in them!

(Most English Bible versions translate maranatha as if it should be divided: marana-tha, meaning: “Our Lord, come!” This is a plea, a prayer, for Jesus to fulfill His promise to come again and take His faithful people to their home in heaven (John 14:1-3). It expresses the early Christians’ heartfelt longing to see their Lord coming in the clouds of heaven to put an end to sin forever. This desire is expressed emotionally in the last book of the Bible:
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! Revelation 22:20)
