Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; how blessed are all those who long for Him. Isaiah 30:18
What fires your soul? What do you really pine for in the deepest part of your heart and soul? To be loved? To be seen? To be complete? To be healed? To know your purpose? To be understood? To be connected? To be whole? To be forgiven?
Oh… that we would KNOW our Creator and His love for us! The Father and His heart and love for us … is beyond measure. We were created to be WITH Him! We were given the ability to ‘love’ and thus were given free will and choice. He wants us to CHOOSE Him … out of love. Jesus is the example of His love for us. How far was He willing to go? All the way… for us.
In this ‘time’ we are offered all sorts of things that are ‘presented’ to us that say it will ‘fill our soul’ and make everything right within us. The enemies of God want YOU to make ANY choice but God as the thing that will satisfy your soul desires. We are constantly barraged with things promising to satisfy our souls. Constantly the enemies of God are attempting to deceive us to choose the thing right in front of us. Constantly we are told what they are offering is our ‘solution’. Do you know WHO can really satisfy your soul? Who can really heal you? Who can tell you what you’re made for? Who can forgive you of all your mistakes and sin? Who understands the REAL you and loves you … anyway? Do you really know? Do your actions and words betray your so-called …faith?
Return to when you first met Jesus! Remember your love for Him then? Rekindle that ‘love’ you had for Him then. Take the time to walk and talk with Him in intimacy like you did at the beginning. The more you do that… the more your soul will desire Him and want to be with Him. He is the ONLY solution for our soul … desires, health, and completion. Depression? He is the answer. Spiritual warfare? He is the answer. Stuck in sin? He is the answer. Totally addicted? He is the answer. Betrayed, lost, and alone? He is the answer. Jesus IS the answer. Jesus IS the solution. Have you “discovered” that He is your ‘answer’ and solution? This is a daily choice. Everyday we are given opportunities to make choices. Do we seek His advice in those times? Are we intimately conversing with Him about it … all? This is what Paul talks about when we are told to pray ‘unceasingly’. Do we really believe Jesus is OUR answer to our entire life? What do our actions and words say about us?
Father YOU are our Creator! Jesus YOU are our answer! Holy Spirit YOU are our connector, advisor, counselor, and comforter. Lord… YOU are the desire of my SOUL!
