Worries about the future?

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:34

Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7

He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves. Psalm 107:29

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27

So have you accepted the gift Jesus has left for you? Have you opened that gift of peace and allowed Him to place it in your heart? So many are concerned about the future. Is yours secure? Do you have His peace? Do you trust Jesus? Has He given you His faith? Do you believe Him that He is preparing a place especially for you?

There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. John 14:2-3

This is your future. This is your security. This is the foundation of His peace within you. You don’t have to fret over eschatology, or the rapture, or any other future event, if you know in your heart what Jesus has done and is doing for you … right now. Are you living each day thinking that it could be the day He has set for you to meet Him … there in His kingdom of heaven? Are you investing your days wisely, knowing that each day here on earth is an opportunity to do the work He wants you to do for Him? Are you so in tune with the Holy Spirit that you recognize the daily divine appointment He has for you? Is He the Author of your days, schedule, and time? Are you anticipating your actual meeting with Jesus in heaven? Does that excite you? Do you meet with Jesus in that deep inner space in your heart where He resides with you now?

Living each day with Him on earth is exciting, and filled with adventure. Have you asked Him to see your day through His eyes, ears, and perspective? Watching Jesus work is amazing. And all it takes is our simple obedience to His Holy Spirit. Have you learned to ‘go with Him’? Rather than asking Him to go with you? It takes some time to learn how to commune with Him in your inner being and then maintain that communion throughout your day. Learning that skill is so worth it. It isn’t about striving, it’s about surrender to Him. Giving Him every relationship and everything that is in your life on a regular basis. We are easily distracted and the enemies of God know that very well, because they take advantage of that weakness in us every day. Can we stay focused and in tune with the Holy Spirit?

Prayer: Jesus – I give everyone and everything to you. I leave it ALL in your hands. Holy Spirit guide me in the way Jesus wants me to go today, make my steps clear. I love you Jesus.
