Adventure.

This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead.

All the brothers and sisters here join me in sending this letter to the churches of Galatia.

May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Galatians 1:1-3

When the Lord sends someone it doesn’t matter what other people think, only that we receive His message. We get all caught up in human standards and religious titles and academic degrees but the message is the important thing – not so much the vessel He sent it in. Paul here is invoking that idea that when were appointed by God to bring a message we should do it in His authority with grace and peace. Do you know that when He sends you – He equips you for that adventure? Expect the divine encounters all throughout the adventure. Be alert and expecting to see God leading you and His footprints He has left behind for you.

Are you ready to go with Him? Are you filled with excitement and courage knowing He trusts you with this assignment? Be wise and watch for His lead, and don’t leap ahead, wait for Him, He’ll show you when and what to say and do. Be at peace.

It is interesting that Paul never really went alone. He almost always had a company with Him. Paul was discipling and mentoring while he went from place to place. Who is with you in your adventure? Don’t forget to focus on them as well. They might have something you need to accomplish what the Lord wants done. The Lord may be using this adventure to strengthen the bonds between all of you.

Being on adventure that Jesus has sent you on – is possibly the most important thing you can do. It’s possible that in those moments we learn the most. Usually, we have to really rely on Him because everything is unfamiliar and different. This is where you need to practice your prayer conversational skills throughout your day. Listening to the Holy Spirit for each instruction along the way. Be willing to be stretched by Him. Be willing to trust Him in the unfamiliar place.

Paul’s life after his encounter with Jesus became a long adventure of traveling and leaning and learning to trust Him. Learning how to listen to the Holy Spirit and to speak and write His words to others. Has the Lord ever invited you to write something down… for someone else? Did you lean into it? Adventures with Him are where we should say “Yes Lord!” and trust Him and step out in the faith He has given you.

Go with Him. It will be an adventure of a lifetime.
