What world are you in?

He said to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. John 8:23

There is a whole new movement that has sprung up in the last couple of decades. World creation. Building of ‘worlds’. Where? How? Within the digital dimension. This phenomenon has spawned all sorts of fictional works around the phenomenon itself. Several sci-fi stories have exploded to another level because of digital tech. Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel, and basically the entire movie industry. But you know all of this if you’re reading this. The fictional books Ready Player 1 & 2 explore this concept.

I just have a few observations, and questions. Are all these newly created worlds healthy to inhabit and spend time in? Are they safe to explore? How much do you know of the god of the world you have entered? (ie. The creator of the world) Their values, principles, and goals? Could they be designed to be addictive? To ensnare any who enter? What is the ultimate purpose of the world that it’s god set out to create? Could those worlds be subject to takeover by other ‘powers’ for manipulation and control, literally for data mining purposes? Can someone be trapped by addictions and virtually live only for those online digital worlds? Digital gaming?

Could the prince of the power of the air literally be a controller of these newly human created worlds? Could these artificial digital personalities (AI algorithms) have the ability to be inhabited by much more powerful other multi-dimensional beings / personalities? Could these worlds be utilized to dominate this world by data systems and complete data gathering so as to manipulate and control the entire population? Thus shutting down linked users ability to do anything not within the guidelines the gods (creators of the digital worlds) have deemed acceptable? Like drive or even move beyond your own walls? Not be able to buy anything not on the approved list? So everything connected to the ‘link’ would then become subject to the ‘link’? All money and digital transportation systems that are part of the ‘link’ then would be subject to the ‘link’. All EV’s, and any digital system that communicates to another digital entity, would be subject to the ‘link’ and the gods who have control of the ‘link’.

Free to choose. Free to move. Free to leave. Free to go ‘outside’ the lines. Free to believe what you want. Privacy. Free to own your own land, home, ranch. Freedom to buy what you want. These things are becoming less and less available as the digital phenomenon continues to grow at light speed. Why? Because…

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Eph 6:12

If control and manipulation is one of the goals (Revelation 13:16) — the digital world is definitely a wonderful tool for that progression. But like money it is neutral UNTIL the god manipulates it for their OWN purposes. But the digital tool has become more. The digital tool can create worlds. Worlds that a person can inhabit and be enveloped in so completely — almost like the physical one we are currently existing in, as their goals are to create worlds so full of stimulus to our neural systems we won’t be able to tell the difference between the physical world and the created digital world. Neural link … anyone?

I see the ‘world’ that Jesus claims He is a part of as being a world being above and beyond this one. One with greater dimensions than this one we now currently inhabit. Not a lessor world that was created via a human entity. Should we be aware of the dangers of digital worlds? What could come of those who spend all their time in them?  Should we explore all of those worlds without any reservation? How do we know what is spiritually ‘safe’? Do you want to inhabit worlds below or the one above — that Jesus refers to?

I think the key — here is to be ‘awake’ of the dangers. To be aware. To know what you are walking into BEFORE walking into it.

So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. 1 Thessalonians 5:6

How does one stay awake? By the very indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit within their bodies and being a participant with Him in the direction of your life in all matters.

Are the sleepers multiplying more and more? Do you know people trapped in those worlds? Are those worlds our hope or demise? Transhumanism?

Is anyone else seeing this?

  1. It appears to be a growing “universe”. A place where people can escape and often do. It’s foreign to me but I’m hearing about it more and more. I’ve watched little kids disappear into their virtual reality game. How many adults are “addicted” as you point out?

Just this form of escapism into other worlds surely strengthens a persons ungodly position and weakens any godly person.

Is this one of the snares coming on the world?
It’s actually a bit scary to see just how inhuman humanity is becoming and all this Ai crap seems to be leading the charge.

    1. Yes, like a meta universe. As I hold my cell phone in hand to reply, I know that I, too can also be sucked into this world.
Discipline, which I believe God desires almost above all else, is forefront in my life.
And, doing a Holy Spirit wellness quick frequently.
I ask myself, “Am I engaged on a platform way too often?”
I see people with their noses buried in their phones as they cross traffic, never bothering to look up.
Everyone places their phone next to their plate at the dinner table-the new utensil needed to complete a meal?
Yes, we must co-exist with the things of this world, some being very useful and helpful. But, they can also keep us each in our own little world.
We are to go out into the world, and share the love of Christ. If not now, when?
