You were wearied with the length of your way,
but you did not say, “It is hopeless”;
you found new life for your strength,
and so you were not faint. Isaiah 57:10
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you. Psalm 63:1-3
To become weary means …you are human. We need to learn to rest in Him. The battle often seems very long and the enemy and pain seem unrelenting. But God…
When you are weary … how do you rest? Do you seek out things that give you strength or just comfort? The Lord is our real Source of comfort and strength. The Lord will provide you the rest if you ask Him. Can you let go and allow Him to minister to you? Can you meet Him in your secret place … and just be with Him? Allow Him to help you remember His promises to you. The Holy Spirit will bring the Rhema Word to your soul.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake. Psalms 23:1-3
Can you press pause… and be still before Him? Do you trust Him enough to just ‘lie down’ in His Presence? Allow His living water to flood your soul.
Breathe. Selah.
Prayer: Lord Jesus …flood my soul with your living water. Fill me with your peace. I give you ALL of me, I surrender it ALL. All of my worries, all of my concerns, all my expectations, all of my plans, I give them ALL to you. Have your way in me. Have all of me.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
Speak Lord, your servant is listening…
