Transitory.

These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared for them a city. Hebrews 11:13-16

Where do we really belong? The more one spiritually matures the reality and feelings of ‘home’ goes far beyond a physical place. Could it be the more the Holy Spirit is allowed to change us the more we realize we don’t belong here?  ‘Home’ is more of a state of heart than it is an earthly place or structure. Real ‘family’ is more about the ‘blood of Christ’ than it is about anything else.

We are here but a breath and awaiting the ‘change’.

And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:31

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 1 Corinthians 15:51-53

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 1 Thessalonians 4:16

Could we have some created design within us that ‘knows’ we are to be ‘more’ and needs to be corrected … which will happen with the ‘trumpet of God’? Do you pine for a ‘home’ that is ‘more’? I know I do. In the deepest part of my soul, I know He has more for me and that this earthly existence will never satisfy it. So… my soul awaits and aches for the ‘reunion’ that only heaven / that place and Jesus can fulfill.

Oh Jesus! Just to be in Your Presence and hug! I long to walk the grass of Heaven once again! To see the perfection of His creation in fullness! To breathe the perfect life filled air and energy! To marvel at the frequencies and experience the music that envelopes all of His beauty! Who can match our God! To look upon the ‘Carpenter’s’ work and designs unmatched!

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” John 14:1-4

Do you know where you are going? Have you asked Him to show you? Continue reading John chapter 14, the disciples had the same questions we do. Then read from verse 15 on to the end of the chapter.

Father YOU are good! Jesus YOU are our most beloved friend! Holy Spirit make me ready for the change, and show me the way. Help me recognize YOU today, and guide me in YOUR steps and instructions.
