“For I the Lord do not change; …” Malachi 3:6
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 18:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8
God’s ways do not change. The lessons He may give us may change – but His ‘ways’ do not. God’s character doesn’t change. God’s heart doesn’t change. God’s promises don’t change. God’s mercy doesn’t change. God’s faithfulness doesn’t change. God’s love doesn’t change. God’s goodness and kindness doesn’t change. God’s patience doesn’t change.
God IS who He has always been … and always will be.
God IS! He is the “I AM!”
Who’s timing and schedule are you excited for? Who’s timing do you want? His? Or yours? Have you submitted ALL your plans, hopes, and fears … to Him? Do you secretly want your plans over His? Do you say in your inner heart “Please don’t come yet Lord Jesus, I want to do this and that! I want to experience and have this and that.” Whose agenda do you really want the most? If we’re honest with ourselves and God we are often more excited about our own plans than His. Why is that? Could it be …you’ve been living in your life more than His?
Don’t you think God’s plans for you are better than your own? Or do you think …you know better than God? Have you ever asked Him what His plans are for you? Do you seek Him for the right decisions to make in the path for your life?
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
Did God change His plans for you when He created you and placed you in your mother’s womb? Or does He really know who you are and what you can do? Better than you know yourself? Then why are you still pursuing your own path? Why are you making life decisions without consulting Him?
This life is about learning to build character and allow the Holy Spirit to remake us in the image of His Son Jesus. This means being broken so that He might increase within us.
He must increase, but I must decrease. John 3:30
This means learning the value of suffering for Him. This means learning and accepting His fruit to be planted within you. (Galatians 5:22-23) This means learning about the faith He has implanted within you. Do you allow the Holy Spirit to work in you? Do you agree with Him? Does your will align with His?
Remember …we change, God does not.
