Omnipotent.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

Merriam Webster defines omnipotence as almighty. Almighty is defined as having absolute power over all. God has several omni-attributes. Have you ever considered … absolute power and what that entails? One thought and what exists – no longer does. One thought, one word, and what didn’t exist now does. In the human condition that concept is hard to fathom all the implications and possibilities.

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8

So… God does EVERYTHING from a place of … love. All of creation, everything that is … is for love and through love. That obviously sets up some very troubling questions and thoughts … especially … evil and its existence. Also… that God allows His enemies existence… at least for now. He in His love gives humanity free will to choose. What is love without choice?

Can you imagine the patience and mercy … and restraint … when looking at evil? No wonder God says this …

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” Romans 12:19

How much does God love you?

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

But, as it is written,

“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
    nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love Him”—

these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10

If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, he is known by God. 1 Corinthians 8:2-3

In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. John 14:2-3

Have you allowed Him to establish His love in your heart and soul? Do you “know” His love for you? Then…

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

If you want to understand God you must begin with … love. If you want to experience God … you must seek love and Truth. From the very beginning … Love had a plan.

Intellect can go only so far… yet the heart can go farther.  What do you seek God with?

And He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Matthew 22:37

The more you KNOW God the more you know LOVE. All of the facets of love are limitless, and we experience and learn them one by one. Is the Holy Spirit leading you to the facets of God’s love? Have you ever asked Him to show you, teach you, and help you understand God’s love?

Father … we acknowledge YOU are Love. Jesus… YOU are the embodiment of God’s Love for us! Holy Spirit YOUR fruit is LOVE!
