Psalms 104:4 “He makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire.”
Over 30 years ago I received a “Word” from the Lord that I quickly wrote down. That small paper has sat in my Bible all this time. I’ve shared it with a few people, and throughout the years it has made more and more sense.
Here is the prophecy I received…
Ministers / Flaming arrows of fire
Saved / not yet used or released, still in the Lord’s quiver. These arrows are extremely accurate and powerful, and very intense. These people have learned how to wait on Me, who are content to serve Me where I have them even though no man sees them. These arrows will be released at the proper time during the last intense battle / war to be powerful weapons against the enemy. The arrows are arrows of purity tried in the life of fire – they have a lifetime of experiences walking with Me. They have been pure since their childhood, their hearts have been prepared only to focus on Me, their lives are totally given to Me. They are unknown to people but I know them and they are mine, and I will use them mightily I the proper time in these last days.
Throughout the years I have looked at the topic of ‘God’s arrows’. There are several different themes. One theme is that God’s arrows are sent like judgments.
Deuteronomy 32:23 “I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend my arrows upon them.”
The entire chapter is worth reading for the context. God is not soft or weak. What jumps out to me are the parallels to our current country and situation.
Then there is Psalms 38 of David where he talks about the God’s arrows that are in him from the Lord’s chastening. Again a type of judgment. Another good chapter to read.
We in the modern Churches have been hearing about the ‘goodness’ of God, and His Grace for the last half century. God isn’t seen anymore as One who has wrath and judgment or vengeance in the messages given from our country’s pulpits. It’s like they want us to believe that God changes. Let me make it very clear … GOD does not change. (Hebrews 13:8) Many don’t want to consider that God will punish. Evil is His enemy. Evil is destroying what He created to be ‘good’. God does hate certain things. (Proverbs 6:16-19) Don’t kid yourself about GOD and His righteousness and His desire to cleanse His creation. He WILL eventually do that.
Honestly I don’t know if I’m one of His arrows. I often think I’ve failed too many of His tests to be chosen. But it doesn’t matter really as each of us just need to work on our obedience to the task, words, and instructions He gives to us daily.
There is a ‘cry’ going up to the Lord for Him to heal our land here in the United States. But most seem to forget what exactly are His requirements for Him to do that.
2 Chronicles 7:14
“if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
This was God speaking to Solomon and giving him instructions. Before God will heal the land, it’s God’s people that will have to HUMBLE THEMSELVES, PRAY AND SEEK GOD’S FACE, and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS.
Humble ourselves. How do we do that? Be honest about the sin in our own lives, confess it, and ask for God for forgiveness. Understand truly where we are in the scheme of things and not think more highly of ourselves than we ought to think. Put away our pride and stubbornness and actually do as He is requesting of us. Do our leaders submit to God? Are they humble or full of pride and arrogance? What about our spiritual leaders? Is there any space for any humility in our current form of politics or Church?
Pray and seek His Face. This is something we no longer do. His Presence / His Face is first found in Genesis 3:8. The Hebrew word for this is ‘paneh’ or ‘panim’ (Strongs 6440). This is actually something one experiences when He comes near. Think of Moses on the mountain. This is literally a pursuit of His Presence. This is something we cannot trick Him into. We cannot deceive ourselves, or use a formula to achieve His Presence. Chanting certain words in repetition won’t work either. Most do not have the fortitude to stick with prayer long enough to experience His Presence. Fasting and prayer are disciplines lost to this modern Church.
Turn from your wicked ways. What this describes is actually the definition of repentance. To decide to go in another direction. To go in the direction opposite of the sin you just committed. This means DOING something different. Honestly I don’t see any of this from our leaders. All I see is posturing and hypocrisy.
This is becoming a very dangerous time for our country.
Let’s begin with ourselves and do what He requires and wants from us. Ask the Holy Spirit right now what He would have you do. Then DO IT.
