The value of tears.

For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will glorify the lowly with salvation.
Psalm 149:4

You have taken account of my miseries; Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book? Psalm 56:8

For You have rescued my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from stumbling. Psalm 116:8

Those who sow in tears shall harvest with joyful shouting. Psalm 126:5

In the days of His humanity, He offered up both prayers and pleas with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His devout behavior. Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him, Hebrews 5:7-9

Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked abandon his way,
And the unrighteous person his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:6-7

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.” Galatians 2:20-21

My soul weeps because of grief; Strengthen me according to Your word. Psalms 119:28

For the lowly soul full of grief and tears is precious to the Lord! He knows our sorrows. He knows our pain. He set Himself to be lowly with us, taking on our ‘frame’ and human weakness, so that we might come to know His joy and salvation! For He Himself shed tears many times in prayer for … us. We were made to have deep emotions so that we might be able to experience His love and heart. Separation from love, even temporarily, can cause great grief within the soul. We were made for … love.

Genuine tears can be produced by deep emotions. What they contain is valuable to God. For He created us and understands us intimately. Don’t withhold your tears before Him. Is there another who values them more?

What is the fountain of our soul? What lies at the depths of our heart? Who can measure it? Who can understand it? Were we made to have a connection with our Creator at a level and intimacy far beyond our intellectual understanding? Soul connection. Spiritual belonging and fellowship with Him, immersed and saturated in love. The mystery of this … is still our pursuit. One day He will make it clear to us, but for now, we still experience grief.

Father … we surrender all to YOU! Jesus … thank YOU for YOUR sacrifice and love for us … to know us intimately, and bring us into YOUR Kingdom. Holy Spirit …help us and be with us in our hour of need and grief.
