But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death is at work in us, but life in you.
Since we have the same Spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak, knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into His presence. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:7-18
Does the Holy Spirit prompt you to understand how each day is precious? Not for us to do as we wish but to listen for His instruction, and be faithful with each divine appointment He has for us each day. Have you begun to recognize those ‘divine’ appointments He has for each of us every day? What do we do when we feel totally ‘in the dark’? Begin asking the Holy Spirit to cleanse you. Repent of anything He brings to your mind and heart. Humbly agree with Him and make amends. Reconcile with Him AND your brothers and sisters. Don’t stay in that ‘fear’ that continues to try to creep inside of you and make all the decisions for you. Cast out that fear! Begin praising the Lord for ALL He has given you! Sing of your gratefulness before Him!
Why sing? Because, of the GREAT things the Lord Jesus wants to do through you today… and the enemy is already planning how to hinder you, trip you up, ensnare you, trap you, and slow you down. Why? Because the Lord has BIG plans for you today! There are people in whom He wants you to plant seeds. There are prayers for others He wants you to join with Him in. There are things you are supposed to do for Him, and become His hands to someone else. Not for your benefit but for His glory! Do you realize that today you are to invest the day and all of your words and actions for His purposes? Are you living your life or His?
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20
So now Jesus I give it ALL back to you, every person, every plan of mine, every thing that I have. Jesus it IS all about YOU! I surrender to YOUR will and plan for me today! Holy Spirit guide me today. You are my Source! You are my power. Help me Holy Spirit to recognize every divine appointment YOU have for me today.
