What’s Your Source for Answers?

“For who has known the mind of the Lord,

or who has been his counselor?” Romans 11:34

When you are seeking answers, where do you first turn? To that black mirror in your hand? To the screen with a keyboard? Frantically trying to find wi-fi to connect to? We’ve become so enslaved to our digital leashes. Have they become our entire lives? Are they your addiction now?

As one who seeks Him throughout my day, I receive from Him more of what I need than I do from any other source. Everything else becomes second to my first Source. At least this is my goal. When I allow stress, or fear, or worry, or other nagging little mind games, I can be drawn off my path. Obviously as a practice that has become a habit, it is getting more difficult for the enemy of my soul to distract me. Does it still happen? Unfortunately, yes, but much less than before. We should not become depressed because we make mistakes, or falter. For He is always there to guide us back to His path for us. It may require some repentance, and retraining from Him, but He is always there to help ALL of us who ask.

We are living in a time where the ‘controlled narrative’ is coming from almost every media and government source. Discernment and truth is getting to be increasingly hard to find. Especially with all of the tactics the enemy is doing with language, science, formal education, and has woven their lies into the very fabric of everything.

Where is the Truth? The real Truth lives within the individual who has invited and has learned to submit to the indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit. The truth isn’t what you or I believe. The Truth stands alone separate from us, and can only be accessed THROUGH Him. This is the danger in our own pride and arrogance. Because we think we have gained such a handle on how we think things work — we deceive ourselves of our own standing and knowledge, thinking it is so much greater than what it actually is.

What is the depth of God’s knowledge? What does He NOT know? Where is He NOT? What power does He NOT possess?

What this comfortable life (especially in America) has done is diminish the ‘fear of the Lord’ within those who claim to be ‘His’. Comfort has allowed them to think whatever is most agreeable to them. The real Truth is no longer needed… when you have …comfort. Then the ‘truth’ is maligned and twisted into what it is not. This was the very first strategy of the fallen / the enemies of God who chose to defy Him.

So how can we access the Truth we need for our own individual lives? By going to Church and listening to more sermons? By having lots of counselors who can give you lots of varying opinions and perspectives? By memorizing the ancient scriptures?

Truly there is only one way. Via the Holy Spirit. Direct access to God. It’s what Jesus came to give us / restore to us / that was taken away from Adam and Eve. The old covenant gave Abraham and the chosen family line a way of a type of mediator that allowed them to know in part what God wanted them to do. Of course there were these ‘cast outs’, these ‘persecuted’, these people whom God had given an ability to — to tap into His Holy Spirit. They were called ‘prophets’, and hated for it.

But we now have the same available Holy Spirit that was SO rare in the past. And it isn’t through the rituals, or ‘ordination’ priest / pastor, or traditions, that He is accessed. He is accessed by YOU within you, through “prayer” and conversation. How is He received? We were told by the cousin of Jesus (John the baptist) that Jesus Himself will baptize those who ask Him for the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, John 1:33, Acts 1:5)

For the absolute right discerning abilities, and for wisdom of the current situation or issue, and for the correct direction you should take … it is through the Holy Spirit. Receiving Him, and learning what that relationship entails should become your first priority after receiving and acknowledging who Jesus is.

You want to know how to overcome evil? How to cast evil from your lives? How to navigate difficult situations? How to be of any real use to Him? Then you need to learn to develop a deep relational daily interaction with the Holy Spirit.

As the world spins closer and closer into oblivion — the importance of the depth of that relationship with the Holy Spirit will only increase. The global instability is rising at an exponential rate. As the comfort is stripped away, how will we manage? Who will be our Source of courage and direction?

How is that done …exactly?

In full humility and acknowledgment before Him asking Him (with your whole honest heart) for His help and Presence in your life. Ask Jesus to baptize you FULLY with the Holy Spirit. This will mean that you want HIS life and not your own.

The time is slipping away quicker and quicker.

Don’t wait. Don’t put it off.
