As the globe continues to fall into the grips of warfare of increasing types … intellectual, biological, pharmaceutical, financial, sociological, moral, and even kinetic, our need to be connected to the very essence and Presence of the Holy Spirit also becomes increasingly important.
Why?
If you’re NOT a person who has given their complete life to Christ — then there is no need to read further, because the next steps won’t make any sense to you.
First – we who identify as bond-slaves of Christ and who are terminally committed to Christ recognize that while we are still present here on earth .. the ‘why’ … it is to fulfill the ‘assignment’ / the calling from our Lord / Master Jesus has given us to complete.
Knowing what our calling is becomes clearer as we seek His daily instructions to us. We begin to understand why we have what we have. We have to constantly push aside the thinking and notion that what we have is ‘for us’. What we ‘have’ is for the purposes and calling He has given to us .. to reach, encourage, support, equip, and enable the people He points out to us – to help.
Be VERY aware of the enemy’s strategies to have you trapped in the ‘ownership’ snare. If you truly are His … then EVERYTHING you have is His. And if you struggle with that snare … your ‘time’ of being an actual asset to Him will be coming to a quick end. If He says ‘share’, you share, if He says ‘give’, you give. If he says ‘follow’, you follow. If He says ‘walk away’ from everything… then doing that will give you more time to be an asset for Him to others … and eternal rewards. Remember you can’t take ANY worldly goods with you when you die. Are they really worth dying for? I know of only one real reason worth dying for … Jesus.
We are in a ‘season’ of trimming down. This means letting go of what you thought was necessary. And giving it to people whom the Lord says to give to. Be assured He is the one who will reward you … so don’t even consider the government tax deduction as a point of reason for consideration. In fact I know for many He wants people to learn how to give secretly, and anonymously by His direction.
Any preparations He has you do for the ‘coming time’ of scarcity, know the He IS your Source … in ALL things at ALL times. And that which He has had you ‘store up’ may be for someone else. Live with ‘open hands’, always willing to let go … when you are given the instructions by the Holy Spirit to do so.
Prayer and fasting.
Two disciplines that must be honed and developed to a much greater degree in our lives … right now.
Prayer IN the Spirit. This means ‘directed’ prayer by the Holy Spirit. He gives you what, who, and when to pray. You are to become a crisis response trained and valuable member of His elite spiritual prayer team able to be ready to pray 24/7 at a moment’s notice. Press in more to this discipline. Ask Him regularly to give you people to pray for … in the moment. Personally He usually sends me a face of a person to pray for … which can be at anytime of the day or night. For some … yes … praying in the Spirit can mean praying in their ‘prayer language’. But most often I ask the Holy Spirit to give me ‘understanding’, which will mean praying in a language we both understand.
Fasting. And yes, I mean of food. This discipline hones your spirit and your will. It puts you over your body’s wishes and complaints. My practice is … that my body’s complaints are my alarm to pray for someone else. Fasting helps you in your own determination to ‘push through’ in uncomfortable situations. Excellent practice for hard times that most likely will come. Be in control of your free will. You decide when and what you do. My suggestion? This act and practice of self control is necessary so that one CAN follow the instructions of the Holy Spirit when He asks you to step up. My commitment is to point my free will to follow His instructions at any and all expense at the time He gives me instructions. So whatever my mind and body are saying or complaining to me about …won’t be a deterrent to my spiritual instructions given by the Holy Spirit.
Be alert.
“Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 ESV
Get in, sit down, strap in, and get ready for a wild ride. Don’t give the driver’s seat of your life to ANYONE or ANYTHING but… the Spirit of God. Don’t give your body’s autonomy up to ANY ruling worldly or governmental authority. Refuse ALL injections or things they (governmental / medical / etc) have decided is MANDATORY for all people. Check EVERYTHING with the Holy Spirit – for your body IS HIS temple and NOT their property, no matter what they tell you. You serve ONLY the Kings of Kings.
Meditate on these things. Ask the Holy Spirit for confirmation… for you personally in all of this. This should be your practice. He IS your … filter, Guide, and Light… for your path ahead.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
