When you are on the way to court with your adversary, settle your differences quickly. Otherwise, your accuser may hand you over to the judge, who will hand you over to an officer, and you will be thrown into prison. And if that happens, you surely won’t be free again until you have paid the last penny. Matthew 5:25-26
What does the accuser want to do? Use the legal system to judge and convict you, and then punish you. What do the enemies of God do?
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10
The enemies of God are fully engaged with the ‘legal’ system. They are the most legalistic in their approach to everything they do. This makes sense to me. Why? They are restrained by God’s universal laws, so they search constantly for the absolute boundaries of the law so that they can get away with the maximum allowed damage by God’s law to their most hated creation of God …us. They look to steal, kill, and destroy the human race to the maximum that God will allow them to do. They are constrained by God’s laws, and they are looking for ways to stretch them. Thus, the reason they are constantly accusing the brethren before God ‘day and night’.
We see this legalistic approach everywhere within the servants of the enemies of God. They attempt to undermine any freedom or good by writing ‘laws’ with in the city, county, state, and federal jurisdictions to hinder the good citizen and their freedom. Within the confines of this country – they work constantly to find ways around the constitution. They interpret it as far from the original meaning as they can get away with. They are looking to stretch the boundaries of the law / constitution. Why? For the very same reasons the enemies of God look to legalism for their devices of control over others so that they might oppress them further.
The examples of this currently are now almost innumerable across this country. And it is expanded with each selfish individual in political office looking to increase their power and control. California currently is drowning in this legalism atmosphere. Regulations are another way of usurping control over entities and companies. Taxes do the same things. Laws, regulations, and taxes are just a few of the things that are driving businesses and individuals from the state of California in record numbers. These are tactics the enemies of God utilize all the time. So basically, it is only the rich who now can afford ‘justice’ at the hands of corrupt human judges and lawyers.
In the Kingdom of God it is the exact opposite. Those that love God have zero fear of God’s laws. The fruit of the Holy Spirit leads them to the center of God’s heart and those that love Him would never seek a boundary of His law. They would seek to settle differences with love, patience, and goodness, not out of revenge or hatred. (see opening scripture and Jesus’ advice)
Our world only continues to fall deeper into this legalistic atmosphere, where taking everyone to ‘court’ is the way to get your ‘pound of flesh’ from the one who has ‘wronged’ you in your opinion. So, you hire a lawyer to find a way around or through the ‘law’ to get you what you want. Does this sound like God’s ways to you, or like the enemies of God?
Watch out for the enemy’s snares and traps for they are increasing all around us with all the new ‘laws’ being signed into existence by corrupt ‘law-makers’. So many laws are being put into place that the average common man can be convicted multiple ways if those that hold the power wish to do so. So many people don’t have a clue how many laws are being enacted … to their detriment. Corruption breeds legalism, and we whether we know it or not … we are currently swimming in it.
Unfortunately, this atmosphere of ‘legalism’ has snuck into the Church institutional system. The devout religious type void of the Spirit of God LOVES legalism. Pharisees anyone? It is very much the human condition to want to use the legal system to get what you want, … just like the enemies of God.
It is becoming more and more difficult for the poor to receive ‘justice’. But this has been going on ever since we were expelled from the garden of Eden.
It is becoming more and more rare for the good Godly individual to be voted into a political position of power, and if they are …they are quickly thrown into a very bloody ocean to swim with every shark and predator.
Father you are our Shield and Fortress. Jesus you are our King and Savior. Holy Spirit you are our power and Advisor. Protect us God.
