Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

Prayer:
Surround us oh Lord with Your presence. You reside within me. Allow me to know You in deeper ways. I want to know You and experience Your reality. I don’t want to just read Your autobiography (Bible / scriptures) …I want to meet with You in person. I want to know Your Holy Spirit in greater intimacy and depth. I know You aren’t impressed with rituals and flowery words spoken from those who are trying to earn Your favor. You look upon my heart, and You know me. There isn’t anything about me that You don’t know.
“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.” Matthew 6:7
Come Lord Jesus and meet with me. I want to sit with You, and just be … with You. No agendas. No anxieties. No concerns. Just Presence.
You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
I want the joy You have for me. I want the family You have designed for me. I want the plan You have for me. I want to walk the path of life WITH You! I want to see what You see. I want to hear what You hear. I want to know Your perspective on things. I now realize I was ‘made’ just for You. Your love makes me possible. What can I do without Your love? Nothing of value. Oh Lord permeate every cell within me. Inflame my soul with Your Presence and glory. Breathe into my spirit Your Spirit.
