O my God, in you I trust;
    let me not be put to shame;
    let not my enemies exult over me.
Indeed, none who wait for
You shall be put to shame;
    they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.

Make me to know Your ways, O Lord;
    teach me your paths. Psalms 25:2-4

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
    in the land of the living!
Wait for the Lord;
    be strong, and let your heart take courage;
    wait for the Lord! Psalm 27:13-14

Our soul waits for the Lord;
    He is our help and our shield.
For our heart is glad in
Him,
    because we trust in His holy name. Psalm 33:20-21

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him;
    fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
    over the man who carries out evil devices! Psalm 37:7

But for you, O Lord, do I wait;
    it is You, O Lord my God, who will answer. Psalm 38:15

For God alone my soul waits in silence;
    from Him comes my salvation. Psalm 62:1

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Romans 8:25

 For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness. Galatians 5:5

Take a few deep breaths. Remain in silence, close your eyes, and focus on Jesus.

“Lord Jesus… I wait for You!”

“Speak Lord your servant is listening.”

 and after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. 1 Kings 19: 12

Sometimes we need to quiet our body, soul, and mind … before Him. Surrender … and give it all to Him. All the people on your heart, all the busyness that currently surrounds you and is in your immediate plans for the day, give it ALL into His hands. Can you wait for … Him?

“Lord Jesus …I will wait for You!”

Can you pause throughout your day and …wait for Him?

The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, Ephesians 3:20

And who exactly is the “power” at work within us? How much do you allow the Holy Spirit to work within you? Do you ask Him to do a ‘work’ within you? Does listening to Him and is recognizing His voice in your mind important to that work? Do you agree with what He is asking you to do? Do you intently listen for that ‘still small voice’? Do you quickly obey when He speaks to you?

If you’re stuck in a place – that would be a good time to ‘wait … on Jesus.’ If you don’t know which way to turn … that is another good time to ‘wait … for His instructions’. Have you made a habit of ‘waiting on the Lord’? Stay in the place of surrender. Stay in that place of awe. Stay in that PEACE only He can give.

Wait.

  1. I have waited in the Lord in many areas yet there are other areas where I don’t
    Interesting when you think about.
    Grateful for His patience for sure
