What Kind of Christian are you?

Are you a ‘social club’ Christian? One who attends all of the social events and services in the building. Socializing, clubbing, talking to others of what needs to happen? You look forward to seeing all your friends once a week, and nodding or wave at them. You feel good about yourself because you attended services that week, paid your tithe, and that ‘you are a “good” Christian’. Or you’re just there to be in the crowd looking for your future mate, or to just hang out with your friends.

Are you a ‘rice’ Christian? Someone who will be there if there is FREE rice, or the handout, or the ‘nice’ homily sermon that makes you feel good? You’re just there to be ‘fed’. You’re just there to get your ‘fix’. You just want what religion can provide you.

Are you a ‘cult’ Christian? You are there in the service / building out of coercion, and by strict mandates by the current spiritual leadership. You are fearful of missing a service and what they  will say about you. You’re there for the emotional high every week.

Or are you a follower of Christ, and filled with His Holy Spirit, and walking with Him daily fulfilling His divine appointments each day that He has for you? You are often receiving His revelation via the Holy Spirit that is changing you drastically, and bringing great humility to your character, and maturing you spiritually.

Unfortunately the fourth category is a VERY small percentage of those who ‘identify’ as “Christian” in America. The fourth category doesn’t require faithful attendance sheets to the building each week. The fourth category doesn’t require a name on a membership role of a local congregation. The fourth category individual usually is meeting with others like them almost everyday, one on one, or in a small group. They ‘don’t forsake’ the Body of Christ, they ARE the Body of Christ. They are always praying with others, and for others… and don’t have to wait to be in ‘the building ‘ to be spiritual. The fourth category individual looks for those like themselves and wants to fellowship together with them, wherever and whenever they are found.

Being His really doesn’t have anything to do with religion. It has everything to do with relationship, and life together. Intimacy of the heart is the desired level of knowing each other spiritually and socially whenever possible. Constant communication with the Holy Spirit is the normal mode for these individuals.

By now you should know what a TC2 individual looks like, acts like, and what their heart is all about. They should be easily recognizable just after sharing just a few words with each other. And the more you talk, the more you find that you are ‘connected’ to each other.

Right now …it’s not too late to be moving into the fourth category type. But there may come a time where our choices will not be allowed any more. Parable of the 10 virgins. (Matthew 25)
