The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5
The season of extremes is upon us. The light will shine brighter as the darkness is exposed that has invaded SO many parts of our lives. Evil doesn’t stop and it knows its time is running out, which means the battle will intensify and get even more blatant and obvious. Can you discern the spiritual warfare launched against you personally? Do you know your enemies utilize your weaknesses against you? Now is not the time to wallow in your feelings, or be paralyzed internally thinking that you are the problem, or anyone else that is blood filled. Our enemy is NOT of this world.
Allow me to remind you…
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, Ephesians 6:10-18
Has the Holy Spirit taught you about your spiritual armor and how you are to use it? The best way to utilize the armor effectively is through the fruit of the Spirit the Holy Spirit is developing in your life with His intimate instructions on how you are to stand against the enemy of your soul. The Holy Spirit will teach you ‘how to pray’ and what to ask for, and how to maintain your perseverance and endurance during this time, IF you ask Him. The KEY is asking Him. Staying VERY alert to His Voice and instructions. I would take the time to ask the Holy Spirit about each piece of the spiritual armor and what it is for in your own life, and how He wants you to utilize it in your own personal spiritual battles.
Have you grown up enough to not react like a child does? This means in every part of your being, body, soul, and spirit. Is you mind and will ready to stand firm against the wiles and schemes of the enemy? Have you learned to discern where the battle is coming from? Have you learned to discern whether it is from your own internal issues or the enemy invading you from the external? We MUST learn to grow up spiritually. Jesus has provided for us to learn how to grow up, will we utilize them?
And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. Ephesians 4:11-16
The more you press into Him and seek Him the more the light in your spirit will shine in the spiritual dimension, thus making you even a bigger target. Are you encountering spiritual warfare now? Have you rightly discerned it? Have you asked the Holy Spirit for help and instructions? Press in! Pray with fervency! LISTEN …TO THE HOLY SPIRIT!
Don’t wallow in self-pity or self-loathing, be STRONG in the spirit, and agree with the Holy Spirit. Choose to follow His Voice and obey. Strengthen your will and determination to be His light to others.
Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved. Philippians 4:1
