Inflation. The all consuming digital world. Weather manipulation. Water contamination. Food supply line destruction. Cannibalism. Growing spiritism. Pharmaceutical tyranny. Government fascism and authoritarian police state tactics. Destruction of farming operations. Obliteration of the nuclear family via queer theory and the push of transsexualism.The corporate media’s constant push of a state of fear. Huge financial maneuvering by banking cartels and Governments to establish global dominance and control over the world’s money supply. Destruction of personal freedoms. Lying, hypocrisy, murder, theft, violence, and evil. All these things are not just localized in just one country, it’s become a global epidemic.
All of these things definitely could invoke a state of fear among the people. The unknown non-career prophetic voices are at full warning mode – to those who will listen. Everywhere one turns or looks …the times seem more desperate and dangerous. This is definitely a time to be plugged into the Spirit of God.
Sometimes I like to read the scriptures in various translations. Today’s passage is from The Message. Paul was speaking to a group that was facing much of the same forces as we are today.
Philippians 4:4-9
Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.
So working on correct focus daily is important, especially as the pressures increase. As TC2 people we must remind ourselves where our true treasures are stored.
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21
The next question should be obvious. How does one exactly ‘store treasures in heaven’? Oh…the megachurch system loving pastors want you to believe if you give your tithe to them you’re storing up treasures in heaven. NOT! Only those things we do out of direct obedience to the Holy Spirit who is instructing you to actually DO something, give something, will actually be ‘rewarded’ in heaven. Being able to hear His Voice in spite of your feelings becomes VERY important in these situations. Giving must be an act of faith in obedience to the direction of the indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit within YOU! Don’t be deceived by manipulation or coercion by a smooth talking preacher. You must understand that your worldly goods and investments can blow away in a moment, but your heavenly treasures are eternal. Focus on what will last. Become a good steward with the things the Lord has given you. Give at HIS direction. Be generous.
We must live by FAITH! We must act in FAITH. We must employ our FAITH as we walk throughout our day. This will take direct communication with the Holy Spirit inside of you. Being able to hear Him in your mind, and hear that ‘still small Voice’ as He prompts you all day long. This kind of walk of FAITH daily is what we’re called to do. As the storm increases around us — we must look to Jesus and the words He gave to His disciples in the boat. Those instructions can ONLY be fulfilled by the power of the indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.
Put your FAITH in God not the Government to save you. Stay with God’s systems, stay out of the Government systems.
