Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:26-28
Do you search for spiritual treasures? Do you even take the time? Do you pray asking Him where to search? Or do you just plod along right over the very thing that could so bless your life and give you strength, joy, and resources? Why? What really is of value? Are you searching for things of value? Do you search other people’s hearts? Do you ask penetrating questions honestly looking for wisdom and relationship? What exactly is the Holy Spirit looking for? Do you know? Do you read the scriptures asking the Spirit of God to help you understand them? Do you ask Him to show you the Truth of things? Whether it by your own self, or your work situation, or even the course the world is headed in? Do you inquire wanting His perspective?
Do you just set out on your routine and day without asking Him for revelation and inspiration? For myself, early in the day I set myself to seek Him, searching for His heart in matters. What is the thing He wants me to focus on? What is it He wants to teach me, show me, explain to me? Often times I am led to certain scriptures by the Holy Spirit and the teaching begins. The Holy Spirit is the Master weaver, interconnecting things together for us as we set ourselves to His purpose in our life.
Then … once you set yourself into your daily routine .. stay open and listen for His Voice and instruction. Become a ‘searcher’ for the things of God. Become an explorer asking the Spirit of God to lead you into the places He wants to show you, and take you.
The adventure with Him — is by far the most exciting part of my life. Are you prepared to go on adventures with Him? Are you physically fit enough for the adventures He has for you? Are you mentally ready to be stretched in things you never considered before? Is your soul ready and excited instead of fearful? Have you said “Yes” to Him for adventure? Are you ready for those opportunities when they are presented to you?
But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—
these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-11
