Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all the day long.
Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
He leads the humble in what is right,
and teaches the humble His way.
All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness,
for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. Psalms 25:4-5,8-10
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalms 119:105
Your path. Is it about the destination? The final end? Or is it about the journey? What is real relationship about? Does God only want us to think about the ‘finish line’ or that He wants to run the race with us? Do you recognize His Presence with you as you go about your day? Are you able to listen to His advice and Voice on how to navigate the day and task at hand? Are you able to do it His way? Or is it all about ‘your’ way?
The God of ALL time (omnipresent) – do you think He’s really concerned about time? Or is He more concerned with the tiniest details of your relationship with Him with every step and task? Do you even realize He is there waiting for you to engage Him and ask His advice and to ask Him questions? He WANTS to go WITH you – EVERY tiny step of the way, every small minute and moment of your day.
Can you relinquish your habits and ways of doing things and allow Him to show you His way(s)? Are you even asking Him to show you His ways, even in the smallest of things? Learning to listen to His advice and ways will change your life. His patience comes from learning to do things His way. His wisdom comes from learning to listen to His words and applying them to your current situation. Don’t be so concerned about the end that it hinders the place where you are now, with Him.
All we have is the present. Are you engaging with Him right now?
