Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
Why is darkness increasing? Because of a greater absence of light. When the light diminishes the darkness grows. Why is America seemingly becoming more corrupt and evil? Same answer.
Who has the responsibility to share the ‘light’? Who is to bring light? Who should be allowing their light to shine? Those that actually have the ‘light’. What is really happening in the institutional Churches throughout America? Are the people being discipled on how to let their light shine? Are they being taught how to go to the Source of light? When they are coming from their time with the Light, do their faces glow like Moses’ did? Do they seem to have His light all around them?
Are people being taught how to minister before the Lord? What does that mean in the context of how the Holy Spirit teaches and communicates with us? Does His light flow through you in those divine appointments given to you by the Holy Spirit? How open are you to His prompting to say something to someone else …even a stranger? Has He given you a greater boldness? Have you asked Him for it? Do you carry your own light or His light? Which one are you trying to rely on? In spiritual realms the ‘light’ cannot be hidden — for ALL see it, either the lack of it, or the blazing glory coming from it. The enemy of God knows EXACTLY how much ‘light’ is within you, for they see you clearly in the spiritual realm.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6
But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,
“Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:13-14
Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. Philippians 2:14-16
So what is our responsibility?
“No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.” Luke 8:16
Saul met a Light on the road to Damascus…
Now those who were with me saw the light but did not understand the voice of the One who was speaking to me. And I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me, ‘Rise, and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all that is appointed for you to do.’ Acts 22:9-10
When you meet with the Light — do you have instructions on what to do? Do you know where to shine the light He as given you? Where has He called you?
Calling ALL lights!! Stand up and SHINE! Proclaim Jesus as Lord!!
