But my foes are vigorous, they are mighty,
and many are those who hate me wrongfully.
Those who render me evil for good
accuse me because I follow after good.
Do not forsake me, O Lord!
O my God, be not far from me! Psalm 38:19-21
O God, be not far from me;
O my God, make haste to help me!
May my accusers be put to shame and consumed;
with scorn and disgrace may they be covered
who seek my hurt.
But I will hope continually
and will praise you yet more and more. Psalms 71:12-14
They encircle me with words of hate,
and attack me without cause.
In return for my love they accuse me,
but I give myself to prayer.
So they reward me evil for good,
and hatred for my love. Psalm 109:3-5
And the chief priests accused Him of many things. Mark 15:3
And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.” Revelation 12:10
The ‘accuser’ is still at work! Our current social media is rife with false accusation! The demonic feeds on false accusation! Now people who have no ability to hear the Spirit of God circle around accusation and in the public eye one is guilty by association and accusation without any evidence or another thought! Evil feeds on false accusation and loves to smudge the reputation of God’s family. They point and smear and lie without impunity. Much of social media has become a big cesspool of evil, where anyone can smear someone else without any evidence. So much in social media has led to great and terrible hatred and lies, and false accusations. Is this new? No.
The ‘accuser’ of the brethren has ALWAYS been doing this, for satan is the one who argues the ‘legal boundaries’ accusing God’s family of violating God’s rules. And in many cases – he has a point. BUT…. Jesus our Advocate has paid our ‘debt’ before the heavenly court. We must be honest with ourselves and admit our wrongs before our Judge. We must allow the Holy Spirit to shine His light upon our hidden sin – and confess, repent, and rely on the mercy and love of our Father to forgive us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
Yes! We HAVE enemies! And they do HATE us! And we must follow in the steps of Jesus! We must ask for His heart to be ours towards our enemies! Believe me… this is NOT easy to walk out.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,’ Matthew 5:43-44
This can ONLY be done through the power and fruit of the Holy Spirit! How can one love those who want you destroyed and dead? How can you love those who have betrayed you, taken all your love and gifts and still spit in your face? This takes the heart of Jesus to be working in your life on a VERY serious depth of intimacy!
There have been SEVERAL seasons in my life when the accuser smeared my reputation with outright lies. Many believed those lies, even within my own family. The devastation to my reputation was massive. The ‘pit’ of despair is real – and only Jesus can pull you out from the demonic circle of lies. Now some of those in my family years later have seen that I was not guilty, and yet among some they still have yet to admit their fault of wrongful accusation towards me. And I still pray for them – that God’s love would overtake them.
If you are currently in a season of ‘false accusation’ – seek Jesus with ALL that is within you! Ask the Holy Spirit constantly to show you – any thing that you need to repent of. Keep all your ‘accounts’ with Him immediately … clean. Understand and constantly remind yourself of His love for you… personally!
Father… YOU love me! Jesus YOU are my Judge and Advocate! Holy Spirit shine YOUR light on my heart and show me where I need to be cleansed! I confess… I need your mercy and love! Forgive us Father for agreeing with the accusers. May YOUR Truth be lifted UP! May sin be cleansed from my heart! Holy Spirit help me love the way Jesus loves!

Amen! That said, I certainly agree. It can be task difficult to forgive or even be thoughtful of someone who has hurt us or is rude or mean to us.
Appreciate you sharing
