Start at the beginning … every morning.

David asks…

Who will stand up for me against evildoers?
Who will take his stand for me against those who do injustice?
Psalm 94:16

Paul advises us to…

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

Joshua declared before everyone…

but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15b

Jesus said…

The one who is not with Me is against Me; and the one who does not gather with Me scatters. Matthew 12:30

Where do you stand in your heart? What is the foundation in your soul? What supports what you believe? Who really stands with you?

What is your ‘line in the sand’? What is a step too far? What compromise are you not willing to make? Who do you stand with?

When you stand before God and must account for every decision and choice you made in this earthly life… what will you do? Will you stand stubbornly with pride? Or will you be humble and thankful for your Advocate Jesus who already ‘paid’ your debt of sin?

What’s keeping that humility and realization from being your foundation and start of every morning? What stubborn resentments are you keeping and rehearsing? To really stand against evil …we first must recognize the evil within ourselves. Judgement always begins with … us. Are you really open to the ministry of the Holy Spirit? Are you able to bear the light He shines on your heart, exposing the area He wants you to confess to Him? This side of heaven … we will ALWAYS have soul work to do.

Do you fight external ‘righteous’ battles … so you won’t have to deal with the real internal battle in your heart and soul? God sees your heart. HE actually knows you better than you know yourself. We’ve become good at self-denial… by lying to ourselves. David had Nathan. Paul had a ‘thorn in the flesh’. Joshua had Caleb. We have been given the Holy Spirit. Are we listening to Him? Who straightens you out?

So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him? Luke 11:13

Are you really utilizing this relationship with the Holy Spirit? Are you in constant communication with Him? Is your heart soft towards Him? Are you asking Him … when it comes to making decisions which way you should go? How submissive are you to Him? Are you now lying to yourself… again?

The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all. Psalm 103:19

Father You ARE sovereign over ALL! Jesus … You ARE my Sovereign and King of Kings! Holy Spirit You are the POWER over it all!

Lord… I want to stand with You.

Help me.
