Love and Justice.

For the word of the Lord is upright,
    and all His work is done in faithfulness.
He loves righteousness and justice;
    the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. Psalms 33:4-6

It is not good to be partial to the wicked or to deprive the righteous of justice. Proverbs 18:5

To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Proverbs 21:3

When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers. Proverbs 21:15

Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it completely. Proverbs 28:5

Many seek the face of a ruler, but it is from the Lord that a man gets justice. Proverbs 29:26

“But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.” Luke 11:42

(Is the issue here really tithing as so many now preach – or is it justice and the love of God? What’s at the heart of the matter? Is following the ‘letter of the law’ the important thing or is it your heart relationship with God? How does the Holy Spirit enter this equation and situation in your life?)

Jesus a man of justice.

 But the Pharisees went out and conspired against Him, how to destroy Him.

Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. And many followed Him, and He healed them all and ordered them not to make Him known. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:

“Behold, My servant whom I have chosen,
    My beloved with whom my soul is well pleased.
I will put my Spirit upon Him,
    and He will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.
He will not quarrel or cry aloud,
    nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets;
a bruised reed He will not break,
    and a smoldering wick He will not quench,
until He brings justice to victory;

    and in His name the Gentiles will hope.” Matthew 12:14-21

God’s love and justice cannot be separated. Justice IS a part of God’s love. This is why God HATES hypocrisy. If one fears ANYTHING else other than the Lord of Hosts – they are double minded and not His servant. This understanding makes His servants BOLD and courageous to speak and preach the Truth. His own do not give into the world’s ways and systems, for they are of His Kingdom, and they share the Truth which IS the love of God. One cannot have standing in both Kingdoms, you cannot serve two masters. (Matthew 6:24)

Many think they can support evil and sin and still be a “Christian”. In reality… that is a lie and false. But without the Presence of an ‘indwelling’ Holy Spirit within the individual… the conviction of sin is non-existent, and all manner of double-mindedness is on display and evident in their lives. (This is seen throughout many churches and denominations today in America.)

You cannot serve God AND money. (The LOVE (lust) of money corrupts the heart and soul of an individual. Matthew 6:24) So then now we must be resolute in our commitment to Christ our Lord and Master. We cannot be fearful and cowardly when speaking the Truth is required. As the Holy Spirit prompts us and gives us the ‘Word(s)’ to speak – we must be obedient to His direction and instruction.

And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word. 1 Kings 18:21

 Woe to those who call evil good
    and good evil,
who put darkness for light
    and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
    and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

This is VERY evident today. Where are you neglecting the need for God’s justice? Can you rightly discern and differentiate between God’s justice and your own? How often does the Holy Spirit convict you of your own sin? Are you genuinely heartfelt and humble before Him every morning in prayer?
