Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end. But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:12-18
What veils exist in our lives currently? What are we blind to? What are we trying to hide? What is it that we cannot see? Have we allowed others to place veils over us, blinding us to the truth the Holy Spirit wants to bring to us? Have we been shackled by other’s teaching and rules that were of their own making and not from God? What veils has the Lord removed in your life? What can you see now when before you couldn’t?
There also is a type of veil between the spiritual realm and this dimension. Can God give us eyes or sight to see the spiritual realm? Do we have scriptural references to that?
Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:17
Prophets have often been given spiritual ‘sight’, and then there are those whose brains are wired to see extra-dimensionally from the very beginning. Occult covens often search for those who have the ability to see into the spiritual realm. But what do we do when we meet someone who is struggling with the things they are seeing? Do we have the revelation from the Holy Spirit to be able to discern how to handle these kinds of abilities? I know personally several people who have the ability to see ‘spiritually’, and they have yielded their ‘gift’ to the Holy Spirit for the Lord’s guidance and ministry. This is what ALL of our God given talents are for – His ministry through us.
The enemy often uses lies as veils to keep us from seeing the truth of things. They can be wrong expectations, or selfish ambitions, or fear of rejection, and many other works of the flesh. (See Galatians 5: 16-21) Our spirit and soul can be blinded to the real hindrances the lie within our hearts and minds.
Prayer: Father You are My Creator. Thank Jesus for giving me access to Your heart. Holy Spirit remove the veil from my spiritual eyes so that I might encounter You! Lord Jesus Your smile is a light that cannot be hidden. Jesus …embolden Your Light within me! Holy Spirit reveal to me any veil that You want to remove in my life. I surrender to You Jesus, have your way in me.
