And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!” Revelation 12:10-12 (For extra reading – read chapters 19-22)
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 1 John 4:18
For He has told us how this age all will end. He has promised us a place with Him. He will replace our bodies with ones that aren’t under the curse, that will be eternal like His. Knowing all these things and that He is faithful and true — we can trust in His words and promises. We are told not to fear those that can kill our bodies — for He will be with us.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:3-5
These things must be understood by us. We need the Holy Spirit to plant these truths deep within our hearts. We need to learn where our real home is just as those listed in Hebrews chapter 11 understood. Knowing and learning these things is the process of extracting fear from our lives. We must understand that He WILL be with us as we walk our final steps of this mortal life. That the ‘end’ really isn’t the end but the start of a whole new beginning.
The enemy works constantly to tell you these things aren’t true. They work constantly on creating and spreading fear so that they might control you. But your Lord is Jesus Christ who is the First and the Last, Kings of Kings, and your …friend. So knowing all of these things and that your place with Him is secured …then through baptism we are crucified with Him — willingly giving our entire lives to Him — so that now we live HIS LIFE. It is Him who lives in me — that gives me His orders and steps for His glory. So that we might finally hear those glorious words … “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.” Matthew 25:21
So when going throughout your day today do this…
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2
Pray with joy! Praise Him with all that is within you!
