The atmosphere, culture, and current global conditions seem to roiling like a huge … storm. What is supposed to be stable foundations is being removed by this storm.
Gone is truth. Gone is ‘right’. Gone is ethics. Gone is honor. Gone is wisdom. Gone is any sense… of the Creator.
Now many will say … of course it’s not gone … and they’re right in an individual… sense. But from a global top down view … the world global leadership is rejecting Jesus faster than ever before. In fact most of them are giving Him the middle finger. Can you name me a global leader promoting Jesus? The real Jesus? Please don’t say the … Pope. I don’t even want to go down that rabbit trail of lies and utter corruption.
The global conditions are very much the same as mentioned in Romans chapter one … with one difference. Digital technology. Instant images no matter how perverse, or wicked are shared every nanosecond by numbers we can’t even comprehend. Digital platforms are used to increase human trafficking to never before seen numbers. Human body parts are now a huge industry by government funded corporate entities. Cannibalism is being promoted as a ‘good’ thing. Normal families and parents are now labeled domestic terrorists. Death is a major money industry in almost every way you can think of. Isn’t almost all of language being reversed right before our eyes?
Examples? What is a woman? What is good? What is sex? What is a family? What is science? What is truth? Of course I could go on and on. What is valuable? What is honorable? What is normal? What is worthy? You probably could make a list way longer than this.
Here’s the issue. What are we supposed to do in this … increasing storm?
Let’s look at a scriptural reference:
“One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side of the lake.” So they set out, and as they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in danger. And they went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm. He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?””
Luke 8:22-25
Who is Peace?
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6
Almost anyone who has EVER sung a Christmas carol knows the answer to this one.
Who did the disciples need to … ‘weather’ the storm?
As our current storm increases … who are we going to need?
Now many in the religious circles will give you His name, but quickly add all of their rules and advice that tell you HOW Jesus should be inserted into your life.
Like:
Attending their ‘services’.
Giving ‘tithes’ to them.
Reading your Bible AND getting the pastor’s notes or book to help you understand what you just read.
Speaking ‘positive’ words.
Proclaiming ‘victory’ by chanting certain words.
These won’t really help you get to know the ‘real’ Jesus.
What will?
What He wants to give EVERYONE who asks Him.
The Holy Spirit.
Not an centralized large organization. Not a ‘social club’. Not a religious center. Not a man with legal or seminary credentials. Not a building with nice carpet.
Just the Holy Spirit.
Why? Because the Holy Spirit IS God.
Living inside of you … IF you ask Jesus to baptize you with Him. But YOU have to ask. God has given you ‘free will’ and choice. You MUST choose to ask. Not out of repetition or religious formulas, but with your innermost heartfelt request… to Jesus.
Now don’t you think the Holy Spirit can teach you EVERYTHING He wants you to know? If He really IS God? Is the Holy Spirit’s power or knowledge too small or weak to give you what you need?
Who is telling you to listen to them over what the Holy Spirit will tell you or telling you?
Are you allowed to ask questions of ALL the so called ‘spiritual leaders’ in your life?
What do the scriptures say which most pulpits will NEVER teach?
Jesus said…
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”
John 14:26
Did you get that?
Now the question comes … what has Jesus said … to you?
Maybe try listening to Him rather than all the other religious leaders clambering for your ears, who will scratch them for you SO willingly.
Then the question is … can you hear Him?
No? How does one actually begin to hear His Voice?
