Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh— Philippians 3:2-3
Paul really was implicating the Jews who were relying on their circumcised status to claim their righteousness with God through that act. Paul then went on to ‘brag’ about his own status as a way of sarcasm to the standing of the Jewish claims. But what struck me is — the current cultural arguments going on right now – that deal with ‘mutilating the flesh’ so that one can feel ‘justified’, or pretend something that they are not, …like another gender. Basically it is the same argument the Jews were making. That God has to ‘okay’ them as well as everyone else now because of their ‘mutilated’ flesh decisions. The hubris is the same. But Paul lays out the attitude we need to have about all of our confidences in ourselves.
But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead. Philippians 3:7-11
What’s even more egregious with this hubris and attitude of those who demand everyone celebrate their sexual status? Many of them now claim that ‘god’ in on their side, or approves of everything they are feeling and doing. Romans chapter 1 defines this behavior in detail. Even a child who is able to read the Bible knows the simplicity of God’s design and plan for men and women. But we still have many Churches ‘celebrating’ sexual deviancy. And we have many many more Churches who are purposely silent on these issues. We currently have a government promoting this behavior and codifying it into a protected class by new ‘laws’. We are now cementing sexual immorality as the ‘law of the land’. Why?
Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. Matthew 7:20
Take away the dross from the silver,
and the smith has material for a vessel;
take away the wicked from the presence of the king,
and his throne will be established in righteousness. Proverbs 25:4-6
What is now celebrated at the highest levels of government? Where gaining and maintaining of power is the only value and virtue. The enemy’s axioms are practiced in every step of the process, like the ‘results justify the means’. We have ‘flesh puppets’ in top government positions being manipulated by spiritual forces in high places. What is the goal of those spiritual forces? To destroy humanity.
We are in the ‘seed’ war.
The previous ‘seed’ (angel and other created orders) has a portion that went into rebellion and HATE the creation God made called humanity. Jesus redeeming that ‘seed’ of humanity by His own obedience to the Father with His own blood sacrifice escalated the fervency of those who rebelled knowing their ‘time’ just got short.
What is our role in this war? To listen to our King and Captain and carry out His orders without any fear of death. We’ve got to shake off the stupor of blindness and ignorance. What does Jesus suggest?
I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. Revelation 3:18
And… from the apostle Paul….
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Ephesians 6:10-13
The war is intensifying.
