Perspective

And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. Genesis 1:4

Before Him will be gathered all the nations, and He will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Matthew 25:22

He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go and gather them?’ But he said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, “Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’” Matthew 13: 24:30

The time is coming sooner than we expect. The division is becoming more pronounced. God will separate the people in the final time. All that we think is important with this earthly life will blow away like fine dust. Are you ready to enter the next life today? Do you know how much time you have left? How can anyone know? We run to and fro ever faster we go — while our Lord sits and waits to speak with us. He has the time — do we? How much of our agenda is His agenda for us today? What really is important in the scope of eternity?

We don’t think in the eternal perspective enough. We forget the how precious our time really is .. everyday. We get so wrapped up in this world we forget we really don’t belong here if we are a citizen of His kingdom. How much is your mind focused on Jesus? Is He just mentioned on Sundays? What could be our greatest regrets at the end of our lives here on earth? Unresolved relationships? Not realizing the importance of each moment we have here? Unresolved sin in our lives? Now is the day to be mindful of the Voice of the Holy Spirit in your mind and soul. What is it He keeps trying to get you to do but you keep dismissing Him as ‘weird thoughts’?

What if the Holy Spirit wants to heal you in a deeper way and keeps bringing up certain things in your past that He wants you to deal with? Do you have the courage to meet Him there? Do you have the courage to surrender your day to Him today? “But I have a job, and a long list of things to do today.” Can you keep the conversation with Him going all day WHILE you do everything?

Today is the day. Not tomorrow. Today is all you have, actually it is just this moment, for none of us know exactly what is to come for us individually. Are you wanting to speak with Jesus today? Is that really your desire? Or do you love things and others more than Him?

And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Matthew 10:36-38

For us who have children we desperately love those words are difficult to understand. But I also know our heavenly Father loves our children MORE than we do. Can I relinquish that first place spot in my heart for Jesus alone? Can I relinquish the importance of these things in my heart … my business, title, work, position, ministry, and money … and put Jesus ahead of ALL those things?

When you stand before Him — how important will all those things be? All those things you thought so desperately that you had to have or complete and finish.

Whose life are you living? Yours or His?

Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Matthew 10:39

Is your life truly terminally committed to Christ?
