Our Destiny with Him

Blessed be the Lord, my rock,

    who trains my hands for war,

    and my fingers for battle;

He is my steadfast love and my fortress,

    my stronghold and my deliverer,

my shield and He in whom I take refuge,

    who subdues peoples under me.

O Lord, what is man that you regard him,

    or the son of man that you think of him?

Man is like a breath;

    his days are like a passing shadow. Psalms 144:1-4

Steadfast and strong is the person who takes refuge in the Lord daily. It doesn’t matter what the circumstances or storm — our faith, hope, and life are in His hands. In the scope of eternity this earthly life is a puff of smoke that makes a momentary shadow on the ground. Yet we were made in His image – with eternal souls and spirits. The body is subject to the second law of thermodynamics and under Adam’s curse and will go back to dust. But… He has a ‘plan’ for us… we shall become like Him and receive a ‘remade’ eternal body. So knowing all of this deep within our souls — we work to be obedient to His assignments as His earthly ambassadors empowered by His Holy Spirit, guided and instructed to do His will.  This life is His and not our own. We declared that when we were baptized into His life. We are those who are terminally committed to Christ — who know our destiny with Him.

This isn’t a religion – it is a fruitful vibrant living relationship with an indwelling Presence of God. This is the Holy Spirit …who’s job is to guide us into … His revelation and life. The Holy Spirit ever revealing the very Person of God to our hearts and minds. Through the prophetic gift the Holy Spirit reveals God’s heart to us. By His Rhema Word He touches our hearts to know what He is saying is …true and faithful. His promises are real.

Ponder a moment and remind yourself what is important to Him. Relationship. Family. Love. He created us for these. The love of the Father reaches into eternity creating an unimaginable beautiful family. Loss and sadness will be cast aside. That which was lost will be found. That which was destroyed will be remade. For His love endures forever.

I see the majesty of His work and love in the face of a baby, a child, a grandchild. Our hearts being changed into His. We begin to feel as He does. The ache for love. We begin to understand that we would give our lives to save that ‘one’ we love SO much. And that’s exactly what He did … for us.

So let us PRAISE the Lord! For today we have the honor of serving Him! Be excited to see His Hand work in and around your life!
