Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am. John 8:58
God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:14
Jesus had a way of cramming huge vast ranges into very small phrases. He spans the complete human need and answers every heart with these two small words.. “I am.” He also used the language of His Father of His identity. The human cry for resurrection, for Life, for something to happen, for a ‘filling’, for a consciousness, a sensation, a movement, an energy, a ‘something’. The Lord’s answer is, “I am the resurrection and the Life at any moment in My Will, anywhere.” Beloved! Oh that we would live there in that moment with Him, anywhere, anytime, because of Him. Will we allow Him to woo us away from subjects, experiences, and teachings to propagate? Is His Presence worth more than anything to us?
The people of God are divided into groups, large and small, around some thing, some experience, some truth, and the all-embracing and all-uniting reality is lost. The Body of Christ is ONLY unified in Him ALONE! Put away then …all things, all experiences, and ‘truths’, save for Jesus ALONE! “This is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
“Do you not understand? Who do you say that I am?”
With that touch of divide revelation at the very core of your heart you finally see the thing you’ve known all along — deep within your created coding. Only the Lord can do that. That direction should be our pursuit of inquiry of Him.
What is your pursuit? To really know Him? At what depth of relationship?
