Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalms 103:1-5
Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord! Psalms 150
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were unfastened. Acts 16:25-26
Can you praise Him when everything seems to be going wrong? Can you draw from the depths of your soul to tap the fruit of the Holy Spirit of joy that He has placed there? To know with depth that whatever life throws your way that God has your back, even though you’re currently in pain and suffering? That He is worthy to be praised ESPECIALLY when you don’t feel like it?
We all need to learn to draw from the Source (Holy Spirit) that resides within us … Who knows the limitless grace and goodness of our Father. When all seems lost… is it? What are the ‘promises’ of God to you? Can you be steadfast in your confidence in Him? For IF He really walked out of that tomb — everything WILL BE OKAY! Jesus IS the answer for your situation today.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:1-3
Faith is a gift from God. How much faith has He given you? Have you exercised it lately? Have you used that faith He has given you to accomplish the assignment He given you? Has He revealed to you prophetically His work He wants you to accomplish? Have you sought Him out – to know these things? (Romans 16:25-27)
Begin by drawing near to Him with praise.
