Have you been feeling weak? Has the battle left you tired and feeling cast down, and left out? Any strength we might have does not come from our own abilities, … but from Him.
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 1 Corinthians 1:27-29
And when you think you’re being beaten down …remember…
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
It is His Presence that lifts us up. It is His love and mercy towards us. His grace will see us through to the end. Keep your focus on Him. Attach yourself to Him. Allow the Holy Spirit to empower you. Be willing to be …low and weak… for Him.
To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. 1 Corinthians 9:22
Be willing to admit your weaknesses to yourself and to Him. Don’t hide your scars.
If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. 2 Corinthians 11:30
Give yourself to honest desperate prayer. Get alone with Him and let it all out, allow Him to hear the very core of your heart. Don’t be afraid to say it all before Him. Bring it all out into the light of His face. And when you’ve spent all your mind can produce … allow the Holy Spirit to take up your cause before Him.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26
It’s only in this place of weakness, in this depth of realization of our inability … that we know Him, and humbly present ourselves to Him. Knowing only He is worthy of our worship. For His blood is more precious than we can imagine.
