Judgment and Hypocrisy

I can’t be afraid of telling the Truth. The Truth is His sword of righteousness which is the Word of God spoken to our very core / heart.

Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. Romans 2:1-5

Don’t be ignorant or dismissive of God’s vengeance and judgment, thinking because you ‘see’ yourself as above His scrutiny, because of your religious behaviors or standing. God’s kindness leads to repentance. What kindness is that? The kindness of letting you know of His standards. Thinking that your pride, selfishness, works of the flesh, sexual immorality, and sin won’t be judged by Him because somehow you said a ‘prayer’ somewhere in your past is very …dangerous. Repentance should be an ongoing thing in our lives. The conviction brought by the Holy Spirit your mind and heart cannot be ignored or dismissed. The consequences of our words and actions cannot be excused. God has a law of sowing and reaping that cannot be broken.

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. Galatians 6:7

We do however have the opportunity for forgiveness from God. How is that received? First by asking for it by admitting and declaring before Him exactly what you need forgiveness for. (1 John 1:9) How do you find that out? Again by the Holy Spirit revealing His Word directly to your heart with conviction. Are you hiding from the Holy Spirit? Do you refuse to listen to Him? Are you dismissing His Words to you? So many in sitting in the pews of the building of the Church every Sunday have garnered a false sense of security from their own diminishing ‘fear of God’ driven by lite messages given from the pulpit about His grace. But God’s grace does not protect you from your own ongoing words and actions. His grace and goodness towards us leads us to repentance. Because we have His Grace should that lead us into more sin? No.

If you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, your Father in heaven will forgive you. But if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15

Currently there is an urgency in the Spirit for .. repentance. Why? God LOVES His children and will warn them over and over before the coming consequences / judgment / crisis events. None of us know how long any of us have left. Accidents, disasters, disease, war, and a myriad of other things can launch us into eternity in a ‘blink of an eye’. We need to be walking with Him with a serious ‘fear of the Lord’ being humble while being obedient to His Spirit in carrying out His daily instructions to us.

The ‘prophetic’ gift to the Body of Christ is to help them understand God’s holiness, and intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit, that brings a humility and gratefulness of character within us, as we listen to Him. When we dismiss the Holy Spirit’s Voice within us, nor do we seek it out daily, hourly, moment by moment, that will put us into grave danger, as we become an easy target for the enemy of our souls because of our obstinance towards the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God works daily on His garden within our souls and hearts working His fruit(ful) bounty within us (Galatians 5:22-23). Are we letting Him? Are we listening to Him?

For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and chastises every son whom He receives. Hebrews 12:6

Beloved of God — know His kindness towards you in revealing your need for repentance and change, being able to accept His light upon our heart / character and past words and actions, knowing our need for repentance before Him deep within our spirit and soul.

The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Matthew 12:35-37
