For the least of these…

And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to Me.’ Matthew 25:40

Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ Matthew 25:45

Who does Jesus actually identify with? Who are the ‘least of these’? Which human being has the least ability to choose? Those totally dependent on another? Like an unborn baby? Does God consider the unborn valuable?

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. Psalms 139:13

When does God actually find the baby in the womb valuable? Do you know His heart and mind better than anyone else?

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9

How important is life to God? How well do you know His heart? Can you measure His mind and thoughts?

The preciousness of children is VERY close to the heart of God. Don’t believe me?

Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea. Mark 9:42

Show me another scripture that has that kind of ‘judgment of God’. Notice how He said ‘would be better’? There is a severity of judgement here that isn’t found elsewhere. Do you want to fall into an all-powerful righteous God’s hands …with blood on your hands?

Three times in scripture.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. Proverbs 9:10

What is the real ‘fear of the Lord’?

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

Is the Lord really your Helper? Or is He just a talisman to you?

So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:6

And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34

How does one know the mind and heart of God? It begins with the indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit. Do you ‘hear’ Him within you or not? Do you listen to Him? Can you discern Him?

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. John 14:26

Are you listening to Him? What might be hindering you from hearing Him? If you don’t know … ask Him. Please … for the state of your eternity… ask Him.
