The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7
This is SO evident in our culture today! Which side are you on?
“How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?” Proverbs 1:22
Great question!
For the simple are killed by their turning away,
and the complacency of fools destroys them; Proverbs 1:32
Are you still being too complacent? Why? Fear? Apathy? Pride?
It is better for a man to hear the rebuke of the wise than to hear the song of fools. Ecclesiastes 7:5
Who is wise? And who is singing the fool’s song? And who are you agreeing with?
The words of the wise heard in quiet are better than the shouting of a ruler among fools. Ecclesiastes 9:17
Maybe someone should say this on the college campuses?
Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,
who formed you from the womb:
“I am the Lord, who made all things,
who alone stretched out the heavens,
who spread out the earth by myself,
who frustrates the signs of liars
and makes fools of diviners,
who turns wise men back
and makes their knowledge foolish,
who confirms the word of his servant
and fulfills the counsel of his messengers, Isaiah 44:24-26
The Lord who formed US in the womb!!! Do we dismiss His work by killing it?!! Who proclaims to be ‘wise’? Who tells you they are the ‘expert’? Who says “I am SCIENCE!” Today the propaganda lies are thick and everywhere. Who can discern the real Truth? IS the Word shining in your mind and soul? Is the Holy Spirit showing you the Way through?
Claiming to be wise, they became fools, Romans 1:22
Who today is proclaiming their lives to Jesus Christ? Not just at one time, but everyday before others? Who is trying so hard to get everyone else’s attention but the One who only matters?
The rise of foolishness is astounding in this culture and time. Who else can discern it?
Be WISE in Christ, NOT in yourselves.
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Philippians 2:3
