“Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

This is the choice and dilemma our nation if facing step by step with increasing degree.
Which narrative / story will we believe? Which authority will we recognize?
So many in this nation in the mainstream of the religion of Christianity have swallowed the culture’s narrative. They have forgotten what their Creator mentions about the things He hates.
“There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.”
Proverbs 6:16-19 ESV
… the hands that shed innocent blood…
What’s more innocent than the unborn within the womb? Over 60 million killed in the womb in this country alone.
Yet we still have many self proclaimed ‘Christian spiritual leaders’ who espouse “pro-choice” dogma and beliefs.
Sowing discord … maybe? Another thing on the list?
If there isn’t a catastrophic event either globally or nationally then the people WILL face this choice … of whom they will serve. And if they don’t serve the ruling authority they will have a death sentence imposed on them. Granted even after a global or national catastrophe the ruling elite will still try to impose the same decision on the people.
This is the path the small ruling class want to impose on the rest of us. There is a growing mob who so desperately want the approval of that small ruling class .. that they’re willing to devour their own families for that approval. Betrayal will become more and more an issue as we become more and more divided as a nation, and in our very own families.
So many desperately want to turn a blind eye to the growing storm around the globe, nation, county, city, church, and family. What is that storm?
The choice of whom they will … serve.
This is why I believe a commitment and a resolve is needed in a greater degree in each person who names Jesus as their Lord.
This is in my life expressed by this phrase … terminally committed to Christ.(TC2)
There is no wiggle room in that phrase. It states plainly where I stand and Whom I choose to serve.
How will we answer when faced with this question and choice at the pain of … death? Or at the threat of death of our children or spouse?
My suggestion? Make that choice today. Choose to follow Jesus. Choose the listen to the Holy Spirit.
Don’t stay in a community / church that murders the innocent children in the womb. Don’t stay in a community / church that refuses to address the issue … so that they can compromise and keep those dollars rolling in.
The Body of Christ is NOT a business. Don’t follow anyone who does make the church a ‘business’, non-profit or otherwise.
“No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
Luke 16:13 ESV
Find others who have made the same commitment to Jesus you’ve made… and fellowship with them. The church isn’t a building or a service. It’s two or three, or more coming together in the name of Jesus.
Make your choice now before you’re made to make it before the ruling authorities.
