State of our Country … part 5.

The Lord said:
Because the daughters of Zion are haughty
    and walk with outstretched necks,
    glancing wantonly with their eyes,
mincing along as they go,
    tinkling with their feet,
therefore the Lord will strike with a scab
    the heads of the daughters of Zion,
    and the Lord will lay bare their secret parts.

In that day the Lord will take away the finery of the anklets, the headbands, and the crescents; the pendants, the bracelets, and the scarves; the headdresses, the armlets, the sashes, the perfume boxes, and the amulets; the signet rings and nose rings; the festal robes, the mantles, the cloaks, and the handbags; the mirrors, the linen garments, the turbans, and the veils.

Instead of perfume there will be rottenness;
    and instead of a belt, a rope;
and instead of well-set hair, baldness;
    and instead of a rich robe, a skirt of sackcloth;
    and branding instead of beauty.
Your men shall fall by the sword
    and your mighty men in battle.
And her gates shall lament and mourn;
    empty, she shall sit on the ground. Isaiah 3:16-26

This one’s going to anger the feminists. But the Lord’s judgement against certain women in the city of Jerusalem is stark and VERY detailed on what He was going to take away from them. It’s interesting still how many of those ‘things’ are part of woman’s appearance and dress now. Are the differences? Yes, obviously. But are there also similarities? Yes again. What is the attitude of these women? Humility? Pride? What is their demeanor and dress? One of modesty, or one of flirtation? Is jewelry still very much part of a woman’s attire and pride? What about all the accessories and handbags? Why do you think the Lord so specifically listed all these things?

Our culture had led to women wearing clothing that leaves zero mystery as to what is beneath, and all with a flaunting attitude. So in this case the Lord is going to totally expose them physically. (Their ‘secret parts’ are exactly what we think they are. The Hebrew word for this is very explicit.) Did you notice their hair? Or perfume? Or clothing in what their final state will be? What state and level of modesty is the Lord requiring of the women in your circle? Is it even a discussion? The false feminine has lured sick men into following these same flirtatious sins. Our culture now is overrun by sexual sin and a lascivious lifestyle. Isn’t it obvious? There are many now stating the obvious sins and that the Emperor isn’t wearing any clothing.

What are the specific things that God hates?

There are six things that the Lord hates,
    seven that are an abomination to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
    and hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked plans,
    feet that make haste to run to evil,
a false witness who breathes out lies,
    and one who sows discord among brothers. Proverbs 6:16-19

I can list all of these sins that are currently being committed by the leaders of this nation in the highest of offices (they are listed in this scripture). If we do not call them out for what the sin is … then is will become the ‘standard’ and accepted as the norm. But also know this … if you call out sin … for the same measure you call them out it will be measured also unto you. Jesus talked about this with His example of the splinter / log in the eye. Does this mean you can’t call out sin? No. It means be RIGHT WITH GOD, and follow His leading and words. DO what He asks you to do… and NOT just what you think is right. Repent before the Lord and keep very short accounts with Him. Daily come before the Holy Spirit and ask Him if there is anything that you need to take care of. But don’t be afraid of speaking the Truth of things. Be ‘in the spirit’ and in ‘constant prayer’ listening to His Voice and instruction at all times. Be ready at any and all moments. We need spiritually mature spirit-filled individuals who are well experienced in KNOWING His Voice and follow ONLY Him.

The state of our country is not good currently. Are the people ready to repent before the Lord? Or will we have to face more calamity and crisis before that happens? Do we still think we can ‘save’ ourselves?

Can we learn from Isaiah chapter 3?
