Shelter in the storm.

Behold, a king will reign in righteousness,
and princes will rule in justice.
Each will be like a hiding place from the wind,
    a shelter from the storm,
like streams of water in a dry place,
like the shade of a great rock in a weary land.
Then the eyes of those who see will not be closed,
and the ears of those who hear will give attention.
The heart of the hasty will understand and know,
and the tongue of the stammerers will hasten to speak distinctly.
The fool will no more be called noble,
nor the scoundrel said to be honorable.
For the fool speaks folly,
and his heart is busy with iniquity,
to practice ungodliness,
to utter error concerning the Lord,
to leave the craving of the hungry unsatisfied,
and to deprive the thirsty of drink.
As for the scoundrel—his devices are evil;
    he plans wicked schemes
to ruin the poor with lying words,
even when the plea of the needy is right.
But he who is noble plans noble things,
and on noble things he stands. Isaiah 32:1-8

Those who rule with real justice (from God’s principles) we be like ‘a shelter in the storm’. Currently are we seeing real justice? Are God’s principles being enacted? Are God’s ways acknowledged? Is God’s name being lifted up? Where are God’s people? Where are their voices? Are God’s people setting the Light on the hill for everyone to see? Are we calling for repentance of our wicked ways? Do we acknowledge our sin before God?

What does God consider as ‘noble things’? Honesty? Real humility? Acknowledgement of mistakes and the need for a Savior / Jesus? Truly lifting up your neighbor and helping them? Or inciting division and hatred because of the amount of melanin or lack of it in someone’s skin? What will bring real healing to this country?

if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place. 2 Chronicles 7:14-15

Can we actually pray those words and our hearts still not believe them? That is called hypocrisy. And it is VERY much apart of our culture now …especially within the religious and political ranks. But this should NOT be us!

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

Who are you supporting with your ‘vote’? Do they acknowledge Jesus in their heart or just with their ‘words’? What does their fruit (policies) tell you? No one is perfect save Jesus. But who has God called to step into the breech?

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 6:23

Who lifts up the name of Jesus? And who mocks Him?

What has God determined we need? Judgment or mercy? If we have leaders who mock God – what will we be faced with? What if we stay silent or support those who are evil? Can we actually hear the Voice of the Holy Spirit?

Don’t be ignorant.

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Matthew 10:16

1 thought on “Shelter in the storm.”

  1. It’s quickly growing time for both barrels. The separation of sheep and goats is upon us with great intensification
I though the valley of decisions started during the Roe v Wade stuff but it’s been here all along
    Just getting more intense
Now it’s also the separation of the foolish and the wise; the prepared and the unprepared
