Ponder with me…

2 axioms
One cannot deceive others without first deceiving themselves.
One cannot be truly honest until they are first truly honest with themselves.
Pondering … my questions began with these … exactly what should one be thinking? What should we be pursuing?
Which led me to be reminded of this scripture …
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”
Philippians 4:8-9
How does this ‘good word’ bring forth good fruit unless it be cast into good ground?
Which led me to think of the parable of the sower by Jesus.
“Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
Matthew 13:3-8 NKJV
Which led to these questions… how does one become ‘good ground’ in which the ‘Word’ spoken to our very heart and soul can yield a healthy crop?
How can one truly and rightly understand the Word (both logos and rhema) unless the Author helps you and gives you understanding?
The answer again lies with our Creator.
Who reminded me to this scripture..
“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
1 John 2:27 NKJV
What exactly is this ‘anointing’ which ‘abides’ in us?
That which we receive as a ‘seal’ when we ask for Jesus to ‘baptize’ us with His Holy Spirit. The very THIRD PERSON OF GOD.
It is Holy Spirit that guides us and helps tear up the ‘fallow’ ground of our lives, going into our very core of our being. Allowing us to see honestly who we are and our desperate need of more of Him. With Him guiding us and changing us into His nature that we might fulfill His purpose in us .. to complete us in Him. When we allow Him to do His work in us like a Master Gardener working the ground to make ready for the seed He wants to plant within us … then we become ‘good ground’ and ready to produce a healthy crop.
